A Circle Celebration Thank You

I’m excited to share a fun set of cards I made this week with Stampin’ Up!’s 2021-2023 In Colors and two stamp sets from the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. Both of the stamp sets featured on this card (the circles are stamped with Circle Celebration and the sentiment is stamped with the Vine Design stamp set) are retiring at the end of June – they didn’t make it into Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look at the card I made:

Circle Celebration, 2021-2023 In Colors, Stampin Up! Brian KingNot only does the card feature these two stamp sets (Circle Celebration and Vine Design), but it also showcases all five of Stampin’ Up!’s 2021-2023 In Colors – here’s a look at this year’s five new In Colors:

Stampin Up! 2021-2023 In Colors - Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Pale PapayaWhile they might not have been designed to all work together, this year’s collection looks great together. I love each and every one of these colors!

There’s something exciting about the design on this card that I’m excited to share!

Circle Celebration, 2021-2023 In Colors, Stampin Up! Brian KingI stamped multiple patterns along the middle axis of 7″ x 4-3/4″ pieces of Basic White cardstock, balancing the shapes and colors of the images in my design. Here’s a closer look at some of the patterns I created on the 7″ x 4-3/4″ panels:Circle Celebration, 2021-2023 In Colors, Stampin Up! Brian KingOnce I had stamped all of my images, I cut the panels in half (right down the middle at 3-1/2″) to give me two panels I could use on my card fronts. While the panels aren’t exact mirrors of each other, each side is balanced with a collection of fun shapes and colors. I nestled my sentiment in the lower, left corner for the patterns that build from the left side of the cut panels and nestled my sentiment in the lower, right corer for the patterns that build from the right side of the cut panels.

Here’s a look at the super-fun Circle Celebration stamp set:

How fun is that?! I had a lot of fun playing with these circles and building these fun designs.

Stamp Sets: Circle Celebration, Vine Design  Papers: Evening Evergreen, Smoky Slate, Basic White  Inks: Evening Evergreen, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia  Accessories: Layering Circles Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals

What do you think? Wouldn’t this be a fun project to make this weekend?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Brian

  1. Wow ! Just look how pretty this card is that you did . I think this is the first display I have seen using those circles . I think it would be fun to play with this set so guess I had better get it before it gets gone !

  2. I love your card, Brian. That stamp set is fresh and makes a pretty card. Your infinity shots always intrigue me, since making six of the same design is my limit. Enjoy your day!

  9. What a HAPPY and FUN kind of card Brian. May I CASE this card????

  10. What a beautiful arrangement of circle shapes! I love your placement and how you used color in the design. The sentiment font and placement is perfect too! You really showed off what this great set of stamps can do.

  11. Love this card but I am so glad you shared how you stamped one piece of paper and cut to make 2 cards. I recently learned how to make 4 card fronts from an 8 by 10 1/2 piece of paper that was scored at 4 then at 5 1/4. After stamping then I cut along the score lines. Score lines was my guide to stamp down the middles. This stamp set is perfect for this technique. Thanks for all the great ideas.

  12. I love, love, love when you do infinity shots of your cards. You seem to be as good with a camera as you are with making the cards. When I saw the
Circle Celebration stamp set I couldn’t imagine what anyone would do with it. Now I know. What a fantastic job you did Brian. I should NOT be surprised. Love it.

  13. Great, easy way to create a twofer! Genius! Now I need to get my hands on that stamp set! You did it again!

  14. I have to agree with Grace~I looked at this stamp set in the catalog and said, “???Huh? How the heck would I use THIS??? Not for me!” Okay, so [comme toujours] I was wrong. Great card design for both layout of shapes and colors. Big thumbs up.

  15. One of my most favorite stamp sets in the catalog. (Reminds me of the old Circle Circus) I am sad because I haven’t had a chance to play with it, but I will. Great card and I agree; I adore ALL of our new In Colors. Perfect shades of great color that coordinate so well. Thanks for sharing your super cool card.

  16. Donata Pfisterer

Love this stamp set. I’ve used it for several projects. Including copying the smaller circles from the the You Are Amazing kit. I thought the Circle Celebration stamp looked better.

Brian: Love your card. Very Mid-Century Modern looking.

  17. Jil-Anne Essinger

Thanks for the inspiration! I made 6 of them today and they were so quick and easy!
