Just a Little Note…

After yesterday’s monochromatic card in beautiful blues, I should mix things up with a bright, colorful card today. Should, but won’t. I had gorgeous greens in my head for today’s card for the FabFriday sketch challenge,  and I couldn’t stay away from the monochromatic mix of Soft Sea Foam and Shaded Spruce. I can’t think of a sweeter way to just sent a little note than with this card:

Lots of Heart, Stitched Greenery Die, Stampin Up!, Brian King“Just a little note…” is, perhaps, the perfect sentiment for a 4″ square card. Here’s the banner for the sketch challenge that kicks off today at FabFriday:

FabFri215Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Two Bundles Going Away. My card features two bundles from Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalog that are going away on June 30 – one bundle completely goes away, and the bundled pricing goes away on the other. The heart and “a little note…” sentiment are pulled from the Lots of Heart Bundle – a great bundle for Valentine’s Day and beyond. While the Many Hearts Dies are marked 10% during the Last Chance sale, you really want the coordinating stamp set, too (and it’s cheaper to just buy the bundle (#156202) since both the stamp set and dies are marked 10% off. I’ve used this bundle a lot this year and will miss it when it’s gone. Here’s a look at the Lots of Heart Bundle:Lots of Heart Bundle, Stampin Up! 156202The Art Gallery stamp set and Floral Gallery Dies are both carrying into Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog (yay!), but the bundled pricing of 10% of the duo goes away on June 30. If you want this bundle (and why wouldn’t you?!), now’s your chance to pick it up with a 10% savings. Here’s a look at the Art Gallery Bundle: Art Gallery Bundle, Stampin Up! 156227Here’s how the Heart and sentiment from Lots of Heart come together with the “just” from Art Gallery (both are mounted on a Hippo & Friends Die: Lots of Heart, Stitched Greenery Die, Stampin Up!, Brian King
  • Stitched Greenery. The start of my 4″ square card was the 3-1/4″ square of Shaded Spruce I embossed with the Stitched Greenery Die. I love this unbundled die that’s new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog. This single die measures 6″ x 4-3/4″ and simply includes stitched patterns of leaves – such a great way to add a unique texture to any project. • Going Green. My card features Basic White elements alongside two beautiful greens. The sweet Soft Sea Foam pairs  beautifully with the rich Shaded Spruce. With the right touches of white, they are perfect together. Also – even though there’s a big heart on the card, you don’t think this is a Valentine’s Day card, right? If you like this mix of Basic White, Soft Sea Foam and Shaded Spruce as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:Stampin Up! 1. Nice card, Brian, for the sketch. I like the color combo for your sweet card. Enjoy your Friday!

  2. The heart really pulls this simple design together with fresh personality!

  3. I like your greens for something different when using a heart ! Plus isn`t that heart set a great one to have in your “Keepers “.

    • It’s an amazing set, Sonny! Hearts get pigeon-holed to February, but there are so many other reasons to use them. So glad you like it. ♥

  4. Love how you used the stitched greenery die for the background and the heart is perfectly placed!

  5. The white heart around the sentiment is a FANTASTIC add-on.

  6. What a perfect 4″ square card to add to the top of a small gift for a friend or relative. One of those “no reason except I thought of you” cards that I love to send and receive. Somewhere along the line I missed that stitched greenery die. Shame on me. Love the card Brian.

  7. Total sweetness!
