Good in the World with Plentiful Plants

There are endless ways to tell someone how special they are. Maybe they’ve done something really nice for you or they’ve done something really nice for someone else. Maybe they are just a wonderful person and deserve to hear that every once in a while. We might tell them in person how special they are or give them a gift they’ll always remember. We could also design a special card that blends together some of their favorite things with some of our favorite things. How fun! Here’s a card that says exactly what I want it to say to my special friend:

Plentiful Plants, Through This Together, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe 3-3/8″ x 4-5/8″ Basic White panel on my card is lightly brushed with Pool Party ink and a Blending Brush. I love the soft touch these brushes add to a project!  I placed a Paper Lattice over the Basic White paper and secured it with Post-it Tape to hold it in place. I picked up Pool Party ink with my Blending Brush and applied it over the lattice stencil in small circles.

Each Paper Lattice pack includes 10 kraft lattices that can be used to build a layer on a card or to paint a beautiful texture. Here’s a look:

Paper Lattice, Stampin Up! 155697The potted plant that’s a focal point on my card includes three images that are stamped with the Plentiful Plants stamp set and cropped with the Perfect Plants Dies. I used Shaded Spruce and Soft Succulent to stamp the plants and Cajun Craze to stamp the pot. The potted plant hangs with a die from Perfect Plants – so easy and fun to build! Here’s a closer look at my hanging plant:

Here’s a look at the sentiments in this set:

Through It Together, Stampin Up! 155796 I accented my card with Elegant Faceted Gems, a carryover from Stampin’ Up!’s 2020 Annual Catalog that played well with the earthiness of my card.

I loved working with the natural tones in this card. If you like the mix of Pool Party, Soft Succulent and Shaded Spruce as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

Ohh!! Brian, I love hanging plants but with a kitty in the house, I’m afraid she will be swinging from them in no time.
This card is beautiful, love that “macrame” hanger, the plant and the pot look just perfect hanging there against that lovely, soft sponged background.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Stay healthy and safe.

    • Thank you so much, Maria! We had to remove all plants from the house when we got a kitten years ago – they’ve stayed on the back and front porch since (where they tend to attract bird nests). So glad you like my card – thanks! ♥

  3. Really love the background you stenciled! So soft, subtle and textured. Awesome card!

    • ♥ Thanks, Windy! I was so happy with how the stenciling of the lattice turned out – I was worried it might be too flimsy, but it was not. ♥

  4. Perfect color choices ! Plus look at your background art .
