Sweet Ice Cream, Pattern Party, Stampin Up!, Brian King

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • Sweet Ice Cream. Is there anything sweeter than a double scoop of ice cream? I’d argue that free shipping on orders over $50 are sweeter, but I don’t want to sound too sales-y. At the center of my happy card is a double-stack scoops – one is bubble gum flavored, and the other is cotton candy flavored. SO SWEET! While the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and Ice Cream Builder Punch are both carried over into the Annual Catalog, the bundled pricing goes away on June 30 – tomorrow’s a good time to “scoop up” this bundle: Sweet Ice Cream Bundle, Stampin Up! 156244I layered my cone over a black-and-white panel from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper to make the cone pop even more. Sweet Ice Cream, Pattern Party, Stampin Up!, Brian KingI added “treat yourself” (also from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set) as a nudge for you to gift yourself some amazing goodies during the sale. You are amazing, and you deserve it. As an added bonus, I added a little pink heart to the top of my ice cream – sweet, right?
  • Best Day Ever. I’ve used the black-and-white striped paper from Pattern Party Designer Series Paper a lot since the paper first came to live with me – and I don’t plan to slow down anytime soon. Rather than leave this pattern alone or color the white stripes, I stamped words inside the white lines. The words from Create with Friends fit right in that space, so I created two lines: one line says, “BEST DAY EVER” in Polished Pink, and one line says, “HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY” in Coastal Cabana. I added the panel to my Polished Pink cardfront at an angle for a little extra appeal. Here’s a look at the Create with Friends stamp set that came in super-handy for me when creating this card: Create with Friends, Stampin Up! 156058The photopolymer stamp set made it very easy for me to line up the words right where I wanted them.
  • Sweet Color Combination. Polished Pink and Coastal Cabana are delightfully sweet together. All of the black on the card helps these colors to shine without being too sweet. If you like this mix of Coastal Cabana, Polished Pink and Basic Black, I hope you’ll save this for future reference: Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Coastal Cabana, Polished Pink, Basic Black
