Many of my Stampin’ Up! team members (not only those with blogs) share their gorgeous projects in our team’s Facebook community – there’s such amazing and inspiring creativity in this group! I’m always excited when my team’s blog hop rolls around, though, because I get to share some of their amazing work with you. I’m just as excited to see their projects as you are, and I am proud to share them with you.
Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature Christmas! I hope you are in a Holiday mood because there is a lot of Christmas fun headed your way. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Sneak Peek – Christmas to Remember
The timing of our Christmas in July blog hop wasn’t a coincidence. While Stampin’ Up!’s Mini Catalog (filled to the brim with Holiday goodies) launches August 3, demonstrators have been able to pre-order the fun goodies from the catalog. We’ve also been able to earn Sale-a-Bration rewards that kick off on August 3, too, for customers. Yay!
For today’s hop I’ve made a Christmas card I made with the new Christmas to Remember Bundle, which includes the Christmas to Remember cling stamp set and coordinating Christmas Pinecone Dies. Here’s my card:
The greenery in the background and pine cones on top are cropped with the Christmas Pinecone Dies. There are two large panels that line up beautifully to build the backdrop – so smart, so easy. Each pine cone base die (I cropped with Crumb Cake) has a detailed die (I cropped with Soft Suede) that coordinates. Here’s a look at the Christmas to Remember Bundle:
How brilliant are those dies – and how wonderful are those sentiments? Good news! The sentiments also coordinate with the Seasonal Labels Dies that are included in the Painted Christmas Suite of products. Yay!
While the catalog showcases a mix of colors for the two panels of greenery, I decided to cut mine both from Mossy Meadow. The end result was not great – it was difficult to distinguish the branches from one another. Instead of starting over with another cutout, I decided to try add color to the bottom panel with my Mossy Meadow ink pad – it gave me the depth I wanted for this layer. Here’s a closer look:
I stamped the sentiment at the center of my card with the Christmas to Remember stamp set. I stamped the sentiment three times with Mossy Meadow ink on Pool party cardstock (I used my Stamparatus so that the sentiment would be perfectly aligned each time). I cropped it with a Layering Circles Die and popped it up on a larger circle (also with the Layering Circles Dies) of Real Red. Such a great combination! Here’s a closer look:
As shown in the photo above, my card showcases three of my favorite colors at Christmastime – Pool Party, Real Red and Mossy Meadow. So rich! If you like this mix of colors as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this graphic for future reference:
