It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!
For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are sharing projects that celebrate our second Sale-a-Bration of the year. I’m not stopping with ONE Sale-a-Bration item – my project features TWO. What fun! We hope our projects inspire you and that you leave with lots of fun ideas! If you aren’t starting the hop here, then you probably just popped over from the amazing project shared by my talented friend Cathy Caines.
Oh So Happy
I’ve created a happy card for you today that showcases two amazing Sale-a-Bration offerings and a new bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. What a fun combination! Here’s my happy card:
This card measures 5-1/2″ wide and 7″ tall (scored at 3-1/2″) for a 5-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ card front. This cute, compact size can still fit in a standard envelope, or you could create a custom envelope if you want it to fit perfectly. Before I share the Sale-a-Bration offerings (which you’ve already expertly identified), I want to point to the Mini Catalog Bundle I used on this card. All of the words at the heart of this card are stamped with or cut from elements of the Words of Cheer Bundle – here’s a look:
I knew I wanted to crop “happy” from the Christmas Cheer Dies that are part of this bundle, but I wasn’t sure how to bookend the bold word. That’s where “HOLIDAYS” in the stamp set came in handy. By strategically masking the sentiment with masking tape (ink the stamp, add the tape to cover unwanted letters), I could stamp “DAY” and “OH”.
- To create “DAY” I covered “HOLI” and “S” with tape.
- To create “OH” I covered “LIDAYS” and then turned it over. Clever, huh?
The “happy” at the heart of the card is cropped from the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper that’s offered as a Level One option in Sale-a-Bration (you can choose this item with a $50 order). I also framed the sentiment panel with this shiny, champagne-sparkled paper. Here’s a look:
I cropped three flowers from the Summer Shadow Dies with Blackberry Bliss cardstock and adhered them to the Blackberry Bliss cardstock panel behind the sentiment. The flowers add a subtle texture behind the happy sentiment. These dies coordinate with the Shaded Summer stamp set from Stampin’ Up!’s 2021 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look at this set of dies that can also be earned with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration:
The champagne letters really pop against the rich Blackberry Bliss backdrop and pair well with the bubbly Polished Pink blocks and frame. See what I did there with the champagne and bubbly? If you like this combination of Champagne, Polished Pink and Blackberry Bliss, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
I’m so glad you stopped by today, and I hope you like the card I’ve shared. I hope you’ll continue the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop to see more projects by my awesome friends – I’m sure you’ll love them. The next stop is my friend across the pond, Emma Goddard.
