A wonderful customer messaged me over the weekend to ask if Stampin’ Up! has ever had any stamp sets that feature coneflowers. Ever the not-a-botanist, I turned to Google to find out what a coneflower looks like so I could hopefully point her to some retired coneflower stamp sets. My search for the this daisy-related flower resulted in a positive identification – and as my luck would have it, I quickly identified the flowers on page 56 of Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog as … you guessed it … coneflowers. Since I have the bundle featured there, I thought it would be fun to make this coneflower-centered card:
Now that you’ve been introduced to my coneflower card (I’m planning to say “coneflower” four more times in this post), I’d love to show you the Nature’s Harvest Bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog:
I accented my coneflowers with a backdrop of two panels – one is Crumb Cake cardstock, and one is a gorgeous piece of Soft Succulent patterns from the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this perfect-for-Fall pack of papers:
The coneflowers on my card are stamped with Early Espresso ink on Thick Very Vanilla cardstock and cropped with the Harvest Dies. I colored the flowers with a mix of Light So Saffron and Light Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends and capped them Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. The stems of these coneflowers are colored with Light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends. I mounted them on a large So Saffron circle to beautifully showcase the flowers. Here’s a closer look:
I love the soft, warm colors on this card. I think the combination, paired with Very Vanilla and Early Espresso, is a beautiful color palette for Fall. If you like this mix of So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Soft Succulent as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Bundles: Nature’s Harvest Stamp Sets: Nature’s Harvest Papers: Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper, Soft Succulent, Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Early Espresso, Thick Very Vanilla Inks: Early Espresso, Stampin’ Blends (So Saffron, Pale Papaya, Soft Suede, Soft Succulent) Accessories: Harvest Dies, Layering Circles, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Coneflower. Earlier, I told you I was planning to use the term four more times in my post – and I only counted three, so that gets me all caught up. Yay!
Thanks for stopping by today!
