Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

Yesterday I shared a solemn card I made to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of 9-11. If you missed that card, you can see it here. In my post, I said the layout could be used in a variety of cards despite the fact that the card was built with a 9-11 theme. I wanted to put that statement to the test, so I repeated the layout of that card with a Christmas theme. Here’s the card I made for you today:

Merriest Moments, Christmas to Remember, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Christmas cardLike yesterday’s card, this card features a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ panel of Designer Series Paper, a band along the left side, two rectangles on that band, a sentiment that sweeps across the card and three accents that help to accent the sentiment. While yesterday’s card was a portrait orientation, I made this one with a landscape one. Simple changes made a big difference.

The trio of holly leaves and trio of berries on my card are stamped and cropped with the Merriest Moments Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. While I only used the holly, berries and dies from this bundle, the other elements are quite amazing. The hybrid embossing folder that’s a part of the bundle has space for a die that fits right inside the folder to emboss AND cut the frame. Here’s a look at this incredible Merriest Moments Bundle:

Merriest Moments Bundle, Stampin Up! 156783It’s a pretty wonderful bundle, isn’t it?! Here’s a closer look at the holly on my card that I stamped and cropped with the stamps and dies in this bundle:

Merriest Moments, Christmas to Remember, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Christmas cardThe sentiment on my card is stamped in Poppy Parade ink with the Christmas to Remember stamp set. I cropped it with a stitched shape from the Tasteful Labels Dies that gave me enough room for the sentiment and to anchor the holly. Here’s a look at the Christmas to Remember Bundle:

There are so many great colors and patterns in this pack of papers, but this page helped me to make the Poppy Parade brighter and the Shaded Spruce richer. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper:
