More Color Combinations with Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper

I love to collect and use Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Papers. What a great way to find inspiration for our projects! The colors and patterns pair perfectly with other products we love. Since the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper first became available in Stampin’ Up!’s July – December 2021 Mini Catalog, I have reached for it often. The traditional colors, beautiful images and incredible patterns lend themselves to festive projects, and many of the designs work outside of Christmas, too! I’m excited to share a bit more about this pack of papers today.

I often pull my colors right from the Designer Series Papers as a starter. That’s a huge benefit of our Designer Series Papers – they are designed with the amazing shades in our color families, so the pair perfectly with our cardstock, inks and accessories. Here’s a look at the patterns and colors in the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper:

How gorgeous are these patterns?! The pack includes classic beauties for Christmas (along with some unexpected beauties) – Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Evening Evergreen, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Soft Sea Foam and Soft Succulent. I love those colors together!

Inspiration

I have really enjoyed working with these designs. I love the colors and patterns – a great mix for great papers – and have several ideas to use some of the other pages. Here are some of my projects with the pages from the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper (you can click on each photo to read the original post about each project):

While I’ve made all Christmas projects with this paper, but it’s flexible to be used at other times of the year, too. These pages can be really fun to work with – especially when you add other colors to the colors found in the paper.  Today I’m going to share a couple more suggestions for pulling these colors right from the patterns in the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper.

Straight from the Papers

These colors are combined from the colors exclusively in this pack of the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper – such a sophisticated variety of colors in this pack of papers:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Real RedStampin' Up! Color Inspiration: Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Evening Evergreen

Combined with Other Colors

By adding one other color to the shades in these papers, you can really transform the feel of the pages – or create all new combinations with inspiration from the paper. Here are some color combinations starters that feature two colors from this pack of papers and one color from outside the pack:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Sahara Sand, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Cajun Craze, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen

By limiting the colors you’ll use in a project (or expanding the colors to those outside a pack of papers), you can really find some beautiful color combinations for our projects.

I hope you find this helpful, I and I hope some of these combinations inspire you.  Please save any (or all of these) to Pinterest for future reference. To follow me on Pinterest, please click here: follow me on Pinterest.
