Introducing Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2024 In Colors

This is a great time to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator! Not only were we able to download the 2022 Annual Catalog this week, but we have had the joy of hanging out with the new 2022-2024 In Colors. Demonstrators can order select products from the new catalog on April 1 – and the catalog goes live to customers on May 3.

Every year Stampin’ Up! introduces us to a set of five on-trend colors that will stick around for two years. It’s like Christmas for me – I love opening up that new catalog and searching for these colors. I love soaking them in and finding what color combinations make them most special. SO EXCITING!

I’m also able to share the new 2022-2024 In Colors with you today – and I’m excited to do it. I already know I’m going to love working with these new colors, and I’m certain you are going to love them, too! Here are Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2025 In Colors:

Are you already in love with these colors?! I can’t wait to order my new supplies so I can put these gorgeous, new colors to use. The best way to show you how these colors fit into our current color families is to show you how they look right next to colors we already know. It might also help to show how they work with other colors you know and love. Here are my thoughts on each of these amazing, new colors and some comparisons to colors already in our color families:

PARAKEET PARTY

If you love your Stampin’ Up! greens as much as I love them, you are certain to fall in love with Parakeet Party – I’m already there! This new colors is a chameleon – it fits somewhere between a Bright and a Subtle. It’s soft but still a little electric. Here’s a look at Parakeet Party:

It’s enlightening to see this new colors side-by-side with some of our favorite, current greens. As you can see below, Parakeet Party is brighter (and crisper) than Pear Pizzazz and considerably lighter than Granny Apple Green:

Three of our new In Colors are immediately familiar (they seem so similar to some past colors). Many immediately say Parakeet Party is a reinvention of Lemon Lime Twist – here’s a comparison of Lemon Lime Twist, Parakeet Party and Lucky Limeade (they are quite different, no?):

Embracing the brightness of Parakeet Party, I paired it with soft Pool Party and neutral Early Espresso. This combination make me very happy. What do you think of this color combination?

TAHITIAN TIDE

There’s nothing dark about Tahitian Tide – the sun is out, and the water is clear. That makes this new turquoise tone a classic beauty. Here’s a look at the new Tahitian Tide:

Tahitian Tide is bold and bright – and I bet it’s going to be a water coloring favorite. The mix of blues and greens is going to work so well with so many other tones. Love it! Here’s how Tahitian Tide compares with Balmy Blue and Pacific Point:

While many think Tahitian Tide is the reincarnation of Tempting Turquoise (I immediately thought the same), Tahitian Tide really has its own personality. Here’s a comparison of the new color with two retired blues to show how different they really are:

If I had Tahitian Tide ink or cardstock right now, I’d combine it with Daffodil Delight and Polished Pink for bright-and-cheery combination. I can’t wait to play with this one!

SWEET SORBET

You can almost taste the tang in Sweet Sorbet – it’s bright, it’s rich and it’s so sweet your cheeks will hurt. This new pink is so fresh and so fun. Here’s a look at Sweet Sorbet:

“Brian, Do we need another bright pink or red in our color families?” A week ago, I’d certainly have told you we have all the bright pinks or reds we need. Today, my response would be different. It’s brighter than Real Red and more muted than Poppy Parade – a wonderful addition! Here’s how Sweet Sorbet compares with Real Red and Poppy Parade:

I heard comments about how Sweet Sorbet is so similar to Strawberry Slush – it’s definitely more red. Here’s how the new color compares with retired In Colors Strawberry Slush and Watermelon Wonder:

Sweet Sorbet will be served all year long, but I think it will look really great with a soft blue and regal orange. Here’s how it looks with Balmy Blue and Pumpkin Pie:

ORCHID OASIS

Orchid Oasis is another chameleon (and that’s a good thing!). Is it purple or blue? Is it bright or soft? I guess that all depends on what you pair it with. Here’s a look at the new Orchid Oasis:

To show you just how this color balances between purple and blue, here’s how it looks between Gorgeous Grape and Pacific Point. If you hold your hand over Pacific Point circle, you’ll see the purple tones in the new color. If you hold your hand over the Gorgeous Grape circle, you might say it’s blue. No matter which, you’ll say it’s gorgeous! Here’s a comparison:

Don’t you think Orchid Oasis would look great with Petal Pink and Soft Succulent? Any combination of pink, green and blue/purple is wonderful (in my book), but I especially like how these colors play with one another:

STARRY SKY

Starry Sky, the last of the five new In Colors reminds me of … well … a starry sky. It’s right and beautiful. Like Orchid Oasis, it straddles the line between blue and purple. Starry Sky will soon be a favorite. Here’s a look at Starry Sky:

What a great addition to our colors! To show the tones in the new Starry Sky, here’s how it compares with Misty Moonlight (soon to retire) and Night of Navy:

I’m a little jazzed about a combination of Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Starry Sky, which pulls a Regal and Subtle together with this rich, new color. Here’s a look at this color combination:
