Sending a Card with Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2024 In Colors

Stampin’ Up! demonstrators were able to order select items from Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog starting last week (the new catalog will be live for customers on May 3). My box of pre-order goodies arrived yesterday, and I couldn’t wait to break into the 2022-2024 In Colors. I felt challenged to make a card with all five of the In Colors to share with you today – it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. Here’s my card:

Before I share the products I’ve showcased in this card, here’s a look at the five colors that make up Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2024 In Colors:

Stampin Up! 2012-2014 In Colors - Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky The Sending Smiles Bundle features the Sending Smiles photopolymer stamp set and Sending Dies. While there’s a thin “Sending” die and a coordinating frame die for the word, the frame die also works with the “Sending” sentiment in the stamp set. Options – I love them! Here’s a look at the Sending Smiles Bundle, which will be available starting May 3:

Sending Smiles Bundle, Stampin Up! 158707It was an easy decision to stamp the flower stems and leaves with Parakeet Party – check! – and the flowers with Sweet Sorbet – check! I added three one-inch strips of the In Color “blues” – Starry Sky, Orchid Oasis and Tahitian Tide. Don’t the flowers look lovely against the bold backdrop? I stamped the sentiments with Orchid Oasis ink and popped them against the richer Starry Night.

You might wonder why I mounted my card with Basic Gray and Smoky Slate…well, today’s your day because I’m happy to tell you. I wanted the new colors to really pop on my card, so I created the focal panel with a Smoky Slate backdrop. I was prepared to mount that panel on Orchid Oasis (the center band on the focal panel), but I decided to pop it up on a Basic Gray base to further draw the focus to the five colors showcased at the heart of the card. The panel looked great against Orchid Oasis, but I really wanted to draw the eye to the center.
