Oh, Hello! with Cottage Rose

I’ve been sharing a lot of floral cards lately – not my usual go-to for card making, but the lovely weather we’ve been having has inspired me (not to mention the amazing, new floral products in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog). To offset the onset of flowers, I set out to make a masculine card with the Split Card Textures Dies. That project shifted a bit, and I ended up with this:

More flowers – and I couldn’t be happier. As I mentioned above, this card started out with the Split Card Textures Dies – two amazing dies that crop out a gorgeous backdrop on a card. I started with a 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ piece of Soft Suede cardstock and cropped a gorgeous panel with the plaid die below:

Magnetic Cutting Plate, Stampin Up!, 161128Rather than turn my card into the masculine, just-for-a-guy card I set out to make for today, I couldn’t stay away from the gorgeous flowers in the Cottage Rose Bundle. The flower at the heart of this stamp set is so beautiful – and the accenting dies only help to make it more beautiful. Here’s a closer look at the flowers on my card:

Cottage Rose Bundle, Stampin Up! 159048I started with Pool Party and Soft Suede. Soft Sea Foam and Crumb Cake gently pushed their way into my card design, and I couldn’t have been happier to include them. If you like this mix of Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede as much as I do, I hope you will save this for future reference:
