Love & Light with the Lighthouse Point Bundle

At the start of the pandemic in 2020, I set out to complete a large puzzle that features lighthouses from across the United States. I worked on that thing after lunch, during quick breaks and before going to bed. As someone who grew up on the coast, I have always loved lighthouses. That’s why the Lighthouse Point Bundle was a standout to me in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog. Here’s a card I made with that bundle:

Lighthouses of the United States puzzleMy card features a lighthouse cropped with three dies from the Lighthouse Dies, part of the Lighthouse Point Bundle. The sentiment is stamped with a gorgeous sentiment in the stamp set and cropped with a corresponding die in the set. Here’s a look at the Lighthouse Point Bundle:

The 4″ x 3-1/4″ panel of Pool Party on my card is embossed with the new Into the Clouds Embossing Folder. I LOOOVE the cloudy texture this embossing folder provides. The samples in the catalog show adding some white craft ink to the embossed elements, but I love it just as it is, too. Here’s a look at this incredible embossing folder:

Into the Clouds Embossing Folder, Stampin Up! 159171While the Real Red card base feels very nautical and bright, its the warmer and softer tones I love so much on this card. If you like this mix of Pool Party, Smoky Slate and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

NOT a “simple” card, sir. High impact and stunning.

  3. You’re on a roll this week! The embossing detail adds so much nice texture to the background. The colts are great! Your puzzle is fabulous. Thanks for sharing. 😊

  4. Brian I never would have thought to used the clouds this way, perfect! Who knew I would like these dies so much. 👍🏽👍🏽

How interesting that that GOR-JUS puzzle should connect with your card making !
    Love it !

  6. We are Jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts and keep a 1,000-piece puzzle on the dining room table all the time. They are such a time-waster…but lots of fun!! I love this one with the lighthouses. Your card gets a ‘WOW” from me. I love it. Like Linda said, how did I miss that EF? BTW, the post office has first-class forever stamps showing Mid-Atlantic lighthouses, in case you try to pair your card with appropriate stamps. I hope you have enjoyed your day!
