Your Happy Place for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Many of my Stampin’ Up! team members (not only those with blogs) share their gorgeous projects in our team’s Facebook community – there’s such amazing and inspiring creativity in this group! I’m always excited when my team’s blog hop rolls around, though, because I get to share some of their amazing work with you. I’m just as excited to see their projects as you are, and I am proud to share them with you.

InKing Royalty Blog Hop - Summer FunWelcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! We’ve made projects that celebrate the fun of summer and are excited to share them with you today. We are a diverse group, so I know you’ll see a great variety of summer projects. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I’m also excited to welcome Emma Goddard to today’s hop. Emma is a super-talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the UK – she and I have been great friends for years and have recently started creating a card kit together. She’s an amazing artist, and I’m glad she could join us today. ♥

My Happy Place

My favorite place to be in the summer? Inside. While I love the beauty of the outdoors, I come from parts of the country where it’s really too hot to be outside for long. I was raised by the beach and live in the city, so my ideal travel spot for summer would be a mountains retreat with cool weather. Here’s my perfect spot for summer fun (assuming there’s air conditioning and a craft room inside this trailer):

Tree Lot Dies, Majestic Mountain Dies, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingWhile you might be thinking you don’t need the Tree Lot Dies for Christmas projects, consider how versatile these images are for other times of the year. The Tree Lot Dies are a Sale-a-Bration offering in July and August’s Sale-a-Bration event and can be selected for free with a $100 order. Here’s a look at the Tree Lot Dies:

Tree Lot Dies, Stampin Up! 159938I had so much fun playing with this [air conditioned and craft-room containing] camper. I cropped the camper multiple times to build the elements (windows, door, hitch and wheel) that aren’t separate items in the set of dies. Here’s a closer look at my vacation get-away:

Tree Lot Dies, Majestic Mountain Dies, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe trees on my card are also from the Tree Lot Dies. I cropped the base and detailed top with Mossy Meadow and showcased all three of the trees on my card. Here’s a closer look at how the tree layers:

Tree Lot Dies, Majestic Mountain Dies, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingMore dies…the mountains behind my camper and trees are cropped with the Majestic Mountain Dies (I flipped one over for a more diverse mountain backdrop), and the entire focal panel is cropped with the Deckled Rectangles Dies.

My sentiment from This Birthday Piggy is cropped with one of the dies from the Sending Dies. How perfect is this sentiment for this project? I was so happy to have it! Here’s a look at the This Birthday Piggy stamp set:
