Thank You with Fond of Autumn

I’ve created a few Halloween cards and a few Christmas cards over the past few weeks, but I dipping into Fall today with an Autumn-filled thank you card. It’s a simple layout and a simple color combination – yet I can’t wait to talk about this card and share some fun things about this amazing bundle. Here’s my card:

Fond of Autumn Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThere are SO MANY things to love about the Fond of Autumn Bundle, new in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. This bundle isn’t JUST a beautiful bunch of flowers and acorns surrounded by incredible sentiments – there are some fun design elements to this bundle I want to point out to you. First, let’s take a look at the Fond of Autumn Bundle:

I love this scripted font used with the sentiment on my card – I couldn’t wait to use this “thank you.” I think it’s an absolutely gorgeous mix of a handwritten word with a printed text.

You might have passed over this bundle, though, thinking the bouquet at the heart of the stamp set is just one big clump of flowers and acorns that is destined to take room on a card. There’s SO MUCH MORE to this stamp, though. The dies allow us to cut so much more than just the outline of this bouquet. I’ve created a graphic to who you what I mean:

Autumn Bouquet Bundle - one stamped image, five die cut options, Stampin Up!, Brian KingAbove is the single image that makes up the bouquet of flowers and acorns at the heart of the Fond of Autumn stamp. Here are the different ways this bouquet can be cut out:

  • In total there’s one large die that cuts the entire bouquet (as shown on my card today)
  • There are four segments of the bouquet that can be cut separately with individual dies in the Autumn Bouquet Dies
  • The set of dies also includes a gorgeous, detailed die that cuts into paper. That die is the same shape as the full bouquet and can nest inside the larger die if you wish to crop it out.

After I cropped the bouquet on my card, I ran the large die through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock. I snipped that die cut in half and added a little above and a little below the die on the focal panel, giving me a little highlight of my focal bouquet on the central panel.

The background panel on my card is a gorgeous black-and-white page pulled from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this Autumn-themed pack of papers:
