Life is Sweet

Handmade greeting cards don’t have to be complex to be beautiful. With the right mix of products, a simple card can be quite delightful. I paired a stamp/punch bundle in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog with papers from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog to build the fresh, sweet card I’m happy to share with you today. Here’s my card:

I say it every time I share one, but I love a stamp/punch bundle. The Sweetest Cherries Bundle features a wonderful variety of sentiments – and the coordinating punch is versatile to be used with or without the stamp set images. With a 10% discount when you buy both together, though, why would you only want one? Here’s a look at the Sweetest Cherries Bundle, which includes the Sweetest Cherries Photopolymer Stamp Set and coordinating Cherry Builder Punch:

One of the cherries is missing the top, left corner – that gave me the perfect guide I needed to layer the two cherries so the stems would also line up perfectly together. Here’s a closer look:

I popped up the cherries on a circle of Vellum Cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then applied Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the Vellum Cardstock circle in the same places. I then popped that up on the plaid base. The circle fills my card space but doesn’t cover the vibrant pattern behind it. Here’s how these elements are layered on my card:

The So Saffron buffalo check that creates the backdrop for my cherries is pulled from the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper, a pack of 48 sheets of 12″ x 12″ pages (4 each of 12 double-sided pages). Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper:

If you like the mix So Saffron, Pool Party and Poppy Parade as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
