Love You with a Weekly Deal

Yesterday I shared the three spectacular, new promotions that kicked off yesterday – the Perfect Pairs Bundles, the Weekly Deals and a new Bundle you’ll want to check out (to read more, click here). Today, I’m sharing a project I’ve created with one of the products in this week’s Weekly Deals.

Please allow me to start by sharing the products that are discounted this week (September 1 – 7). Here are these discounted products:

That’s a lot! So many amazing products at a wonderful discount – for this week only and while supplies last.

There will be new Weekly Deals on September 8, September 15 and September 22. What fun!

The project I’m sharing today features the Summer Shadows Dies, which are currently discounted from $34 to $27.20 (that’s 20% off!). Here’s my card:

The Summer Shadows Dies coordinate with the Shaded Summer stamp set, which I used here. Here’s a look at the Shaded Summer stamp set:

Shaded Summer, Stampin Up!, 155783I painted on the red rubber flowers and leaves with three Stampin’ Write Markers from the Regals Collection – Rich Razzleberry, Shaded Spruce and Old Olive. It’s an old technique that’s just as fun today as it was years ago. I took my time, carefully painting the ink onto the red rubber stamp. When I was finished, I “huffed” on the stamp to re-moisten the ink before I stamped it down. Here’s a closer look:

Shaded Summer, Summer Shadow Dies, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThis technique doesn’t produce the most vivid of images – the flowers aren’t bold and solid – but I like the artistic look of the painted stamps (especially with this stamp set). I added three stems (also from the Shaded Summer stamp set and cropped with the Summer Shadows Dies) to give a little more bulk to my bouquet. I pulled the sentiment (isolated with a piece of tape) from the stamp set, too!

Behind my green and purple arrangement, I added three vertical panels of coordinating colors. Here are the widths of the panels on my card:

  • Old Olive – 3/4″
  • Shaded Spruce – 1″
  • Rich Razzleberry – 1-3/4″

If you like this rich, regal combination of Old Olive, Shaded Spruce and Rich Razzleberry as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
