Everything Beautiful Starts with Love

Stampin’ Up!’s Weekly Deals promotion (select discounted product for this week only) includes three products Emma and I showcased in our last Super-Awesome Fun Time Card Kit. We saw many of those during our bonus Zoom call yesterday where people shared their projects and experiences with the kit. What fun! In-line with the “no-stamping” projects we designed for our last kit with the Texture Chic Memories & More Cards, I created this card to share with the group (unfortunately my internet service dropped halfway through the call, so I wasn’t able to share it). Here’s my card:

Texture Chic Memories & More Cards, Stampin Up!, Brian King

It’s rare that I make projects with no ink or stamping, but it happens. This card is a combination of cardstock, Memories & More Cards and dimensional layering. My card is build with just two of the Texture Chic Memories & More cards (one large and one small).

Here’s a look at the Texture Chic Memories & More cards, which are marked 20% off this week:

Here’s a look at the two cards I used:

How beautiful are the soft colors of the leaves in this panel? Gorgeous! Here’s How I built this card:

  • I cut the large Petal Pink card to 5-1/4″ tall (trimming off both sides so the sentiment I would cover up was centered on the panel). I mounted the panel to a base of Petal Pink cardstock.
  • I carefully cropped the sentiment from the small card with my Paper Trimmer, starting and ending the cutting inside the panel.
  • I layered base and sentiment with Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock.
  • Between the sentiment and beautiful base, I added a square of vellum cardstock.

It was fun to transform these simple panels into a dimensional card that doesn’t look like it was created with flat, pre-printed cards. The sweet colors in this page of papers make me so happy and really set the tone for this card. What looks like So Saffron in this card is actually a diluted version of Mango Melody. It’s the sweet mix of pink blue and green, though, that I love the most. If you like this combination of Petal Pink, Pool Party and Soft Succulent as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
