Thanks Snow Much for the Candy Hearts

Thanks Snow Much

I realize the most obvious choice for a thank you card at this time of year is one that centers around Fall and Thanksgiving. I do love an Autumn thank you card. That said, I wanted to put my focus on the most overlooked of thank you cards – the “thank you for the Christmas gift card.” We spend months making Christmas cards to wow our friends and family. After the cards are sent, there’s no need to quickly pack away the Christmas papers, stamps and dies – because we can still use them for the thank you cards we have to send. Incidentally, a bundle of thank you cards make an awesome gift (for which you must ask the recipient to not send one of the cards back to you as a thank you). Anyhow…here’s a Christmas thank you card I made with some of the snowiest products in Stampin’ Up!’s July-December 2022 Mini Catalog:

Snowman Magic, Snowflake Vellum Specialty, Stampin Up!, Brian King

My card features two papers from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog – a panel of snowy blues from the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series paper and three panels of the Snowflake 12″ x 12″ Specialty Vellum. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper:

I used the white flocking snowflakes on my card – I carefully glued them to panels of Balmy Blue and then framed them with Pacific Point. Here’s a look at this super-fun vellum paper:

Snowflake Specialty Vellum, Stampin Up! 159832The sentiment on my card (perfect for Christmas thank yous) is from the Snowman Magic stamp set and is framed with a Balmy Blue snowflake from the Chic Dies and a wavy frame from the Pretty Pillow Box Dies (both in the Annual Catalog). Here’s a closer look at the sentiment:

And here’s a look at the Snowman Magic Bundle:

Snowman Magic Bundle, Stampin Up! 159818Before you pack away all your Christmas card supplies (and before you are exhausted from making Christmas projects), be sure to plan your Christmas-themed thank you cards. That makes the products you’ve purchased (or are planning to purchase) stretch a lot farther. Yay!

Thank you for hopping with the Candy Hearts today! Be sure to hop around to all the stops. You do not want to miss any of the creativity in this talented group of stampers! If you get lost, use the list below.

    2. Well now I know what I am going to do with my specialty vellum! This is gorgeous!

    3. Wow Brian, your Christmas Thank You card is awesome! Layering the vellum on blue is perfect for the chilly/cold season!

    4. This card is snow awesome! Love the vellum panels!

      • Thanks, Windy! ♥ The vellum panels started as a single panel, but I decided to break them up a bit – it showcased them better than I had expected.

    5. This is a fabulous card! I am crazy about this vellum paper. I might or might not have hoarded a bunch of it😜. Thanks for sharing such a great card in today’s hop!

    6. So pretty! Now I see the need for that vellum paper!

    7. Wow! What a beauty! Love the soft colors and layering.

    8. What a beautiful card Brian! Would you mind sharing the dimmensions of the dsp panels? Thanks!

      • Thanks, Tracey! Each of the three panels measures 1″ x 4-1/4″. The vellum is glued to a similar-sized piece of Balmy Blue and then framed with Pacific Point. Hope that helps! ♥
