‘Tis the Season with Santa Express

There’s a gorgeous page of Christmas-wrapped presents in the Santa Express Designer Series Paper that’s filled with gorgeous colors – Poppy Parade, Petal Pink, Mint Macaron and Evening Evergreen shine in this fun page full of presents. I set out to build a card around this design because I love it so much. That idea took a little turn during the card-making experience, but I still showcased the collection of packages. Here’s my card:

The Poppy Parade Fa La La La La page that provides a backdrop on this card is pulled from the Santa Express Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this pack of papers:

The packages I used as the focal point of my card is not pulled from the Santa Express Designer Series Paper – instead, I found the coordinating design in the Santa Express Memories & More Cards. The Memories & More cards also provided me with the snowflakes-filled, Petal Pink card behind my focal panel. Here’s a quick look at these fun cards that are also fun for card-making:

Without the Santa Express papers and cards, I don’t think I’d ever have worked Petal Pink into a Christmas card, but it’s really beautiful. I love how it pairs with Poppy Parade. While Cherry Cobbler isn’t “officially” a color in the Santa Express papers, the darker shade of Poppy Parade used to build the Fa La La La’s on this page of papers looks a lot like it. If you like this mix of Petal Pink, Poppy Parade and Cherry Cobbler as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
