Many of my Stampin’ Up! team members (not only those with blogs) share their gorgeous projects in our team’s Facebook community – there’s such amazing and inspiring creativity in this group! I’m always excited when my team’s blog hop rolls around, though, because I get to share some of their amazing work with you. I’m just as excited to see their projects as you are, and I am proud to share them with you.
Welcome to InKing Royalty’s December Blog Hop! We have created wintry projects to share with you today – snow, sleds and mittens are sure to be found in our lineup. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Warm Wishes
With so many products sold out from the July-December Mini Catalog, I was strategic about selecting products for my wintry project – all of the products on my card come from the 2022 Annual Catalog and upcoming January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Here’s my wintry card:
While the sentiment and oval-based scene are the heart of this card, I want to start with the stamp set that helped me create the “snow” on my card. Hand-Drawn Dots is a fun background stamp set in the upcoming Mini Catalog. I stamped the background with Versamark and heat-embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. It’s not designed to be snow, but it sure does the trick! Here’s a look at the Hand-Drawn Dots stamp set:
The oval die at the heart of this card is also from the upcoming Mini Catalog, but it’s been available for the past couple of months as an early-release product. I have loved working with the Framed Florets Dies, and the large oval works well here. I cropped a Pool Party oval with the largest oval die (second die on the second row in the product photo below). I cropped the trees with the Grove Dies and then cropped out the trees with the same oval die. Here’s a closer look:
Here’s a look at the Framed Florets Bundle (you can order it today if you don’t yet have it):
And here’s a look at the Grove Dies, part of the Grassy Grove Bundle:
The sentiment is a teeny-tiny, but oh-so-sweet sentiment from the Through it Together stamp set in Stampin’ Up!’s 2022 Annual Catalog.
There’s a lot of Pool Party on this sweet card – layers of cardstock, ink and even ribbon. I layered several strips of the Pool Party 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon behind the oval as a sweet, simple accent for my sweet card.

Brian, what a beautiful card! It’s so peaceful! And I love that you used Pool Party … one of my most favorite colors.
Thank you so much, Suzie! I had fun with this one – it changed a bit as I created it, which always makes it fun. Pool Party is one of my all-time favorites, too.
Delicious design! Love the cropped die cut image, and the softness from the ribbon.
And of course, now I need to take another look at that background stamp…!😉
I received the background stamp set from OnStage, but it still would have been on my wish list. Such a fun one. So glad you like the card, Linda! ♥
This is so sweet and calm looking. Love the oval layer. But wow on the embossed dots. It gives me a new appreciation for that stamp.
Really pretty. I have my eye on that background!
It’s a fun background stamp. You’ll love it.
Love the color ! The oval makes it a stand out ! Looking forward to the HOP !!
Thanks, Sonny! I considered adding other colors, but I couldn’t step away from Pool Party. Glad you like it. ♥
Well done my friend! I passed that background stamp up but now I have to take another look at it. I love how you created the snowy scene!
Thanks so much, Renae! The stamp is quite fun and an easy way to add a little texture to any cardstock. Glad you like it. ♥
So pretty and soft! Love the ribbon behind, too!
Thanks, Windy! That ribbon is so versatile – I love it, too. ♥
I love all the elements on this serene card. So lovely. Enjoy your day!
Thanks so much, Hilda! I was happy with all the elements came together on this card. SO happy you like it. ♥
Beautiful. Love how you used the Grassy Grove die.
Thanks, Wendie! I played with several ideas, but I was thrilled with how these dies worked here. Glad you like it.
Leave it to you to show us something that we’ve never dreamed of. I really love the crisp white trees, cut off in the oval die. What a splendid idea! I obviously missed that dot stamp in the catalog; it really does look like snow! Guess I’d better get another order together. Beautiful card, Brian.
Thank you so much, my friend! I’m thrilled you like it. ♥ This stamp set is a fun one. 🙂
I’m in love with the the Grassy Grove cut into an oval, brilliant!!!
Thanks, Sheryl! I was happy with how easy it was – gave me exactly what I wanted. Happy you like it. ♥
Brian- love this card! I think the hand-drawn dot background stamp just made it to my “wish list”. I recently picked up Grassy Grove with my host rewards. So I think I feel a case coming!!
Brian, love the dots. I got it at OnStage also, and I love the look you gave it. I’m not sure I would have thought to use it this way. Now I also want to “connect” the dots somehow, lol.
What a creative way to use the GrassyGrove dies. Love this idea! Beautiful card. Thanks for sharing!
Merry Christmas!
Brian, Fabulous card you have inspired me. Thank you so much.
