On Friday night, I hosted an Online Exclusives Stamp-a-Long for my customers who purchased new bundles that were released earlier this month. What a fun group of customers and friends! After introductions and quick shares, I showcased a fun fold with the group – and then they went to work making projects with that same concept. I was so happy to see how these talented stampers made very different projects with one simple idea. They encouraged and complimented one another throughout the event. ♥
During our call, I shared three projects I made for the call to showcase different approaches to the simple fun fold. Here’s one of the cards I made – it just so happens this card features one of the bundles from the Online Exclusives release:
Here’s how the card opens:
And what’s inside?! Why, it’s a pocket to hold a simple note card (or gift card or cash):
My pocket card is inspired by a similar project by Allison Okamitsu, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Canada. You can see her project here. I turned Allison’s card on its side to make a portrait-style pocket card and changed up the design on the front.
Products
My card showcases TWO sentiments and FOUR leaves from the Tropical Leaf Bundle. I stamped the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink and stamped the leaf veins with Shaded Spruce ink. The leaves on the outside of the card are punched with the Tropical Leaf Punch. Here’s a look at this incredible bundle:
I love a punch bundle – and this one can be useful for so many occasions! The sentiment on the front and inside both come from this versatile stamp set. My card also features a 2″ Circle Punch, a Layering Circles Die and a rust-like design from the Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in this gorgeous pack of papers:
Measurements
Here are the basic measurements of this pocket fun fold card:
- The base is a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Gray Granite cardstock that’s scored at 2″ and 7-1/2″ to give a 2″ pocket and a 5-1/2″ shape to the card when folded.
- I used Tear & Tape to glue down the pocket panel.
- The note card inside is a 3″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.
- The panel on the outside, measuring 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″, frames the panels on the card and covers the sentiment on the lower panel for a fun surprise inside.
It’s such a fun, simple and effective fold for a card! I’m so glad Allison shared hers with me and that I could share mine with my group and with you. I have two more projects to share with you, so I hope you’ll come back!

Awesome fold Brian! Thanks for sharing. I would never have paired Cajun Craze with Gray Granite but it looks fabulous.
