I hosted my monthly Zoom call with my Paper Pumpkin customers yesterday. During our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call, I share some fun ideas with the items included in the monthly kit, and my customers share their brilliant ideas. I’m always impressed by what others are making and love to spend that time with my customers who participate. Sometimes we rush through our projects and then just chat for the rest of the time.
Today I’m sharing some alternative projects with March’s Ten Years of Growth Kit – collection of potted plants, amazing sayings (in two stamp sets) and versatile backgrounds. The colors are soft, and the projects are a reminder that Spring is here. Before I share my alternatives, here’s a look at the finished projects (as designed) from the March 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit:
Here’s a look at all the goodies that came in this kit:
As a gift, there was a second stamp set included. The additional set coordinates with the kit but can be used in addition to the products showcased here.
Refills are available for just $11 in the online store – you get everything you see above except for the stamp sets and ink spot. To purchase the refill, click here.

Alternative Projects
As always, I designed a handful of projects to share with my customers during our Pumpkin in the Fungeon call. I’m sharing three of them with you today. Here are three cards I made with elements of the kit (and some elements from my craft room):
Below is a closer look at these three projects.
You Deserve the Best!
One of the white card fronts features a bookshelf with little vases and even some books! I cropped out the rectangle shape, popped it up on Fresh Freesia, framed it with Basic White and then layered that on a Soft Sea Foam card base. This trendy home library is perfect for a potted plant and a super-sweet sentiment. “You deserve the best!” is an amazing sentiment that’ll I use again! Here’s a closer look at this card:
How sweet is that background panel? I love the bookshelf!
An Incredible Woman
The additional stamp set in the March Paper Pumpkin Kit features a beautiful image of Easter lilies. I stamped the lilies with Fresh Freesia ink on a page of Fresh Freesia cardstock. That felt really busy, so I cropped the panel into strips and mounted it on a panel of Petal Pink. I added a Pool Party circle with the Stylish Shapes Dies, added some flowers from the kit and added a sentiment from the stamp set (on a punch out banner from the kit). I added a few Gold-Faceted Adhesive-Backed Sequins from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. I love the added shine! Here’s a closer look at this card:
I love this mix of soft, sweet colors – pink, purple and blue – and oh-so-sweet! If you like this combination as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
Good news! All three of these colors are returning in Stampin’ Up!’s 2023 Annual Catalog. Petal Pink and Pool Party continue in the Subtles color collection, and Fresh Freesia (a 2021-2023 In Color that was scheduled to retire this year) is returning as a core color in the Subtles Collection. Yay!

To a Wonderful Mother
There’s a beautiful, large label in the Paper Pumpkin kit that coordinates with the envelope and Paper Pumpkin box. The label is colored with a mix of dark greens, soft purples and bright pinks. I wanted to use the label on my card, so I cropped a panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock at 5-1/2″ x 7″ and scored it at 3-1/2″. I cropped three circles with my 2″ Circle Punch (one from Fresh Freesia, one from Pool Party and one from a gold and white card base in the kit. With a couple of leaves from the kit, I arranged the elements on the card base. Simple! Here’s my card:
With all the rich colors in the label and leaves that come with this kit, it’s the soft mix of
