A Bold Thanks with Everyday Thanks

My love of school supplies and office supplies drove me to the craft of card making. I love (and have always loved) anything to do with stationary, notebooks and sharp pencils, so it makes sense that I’d love cardstock, inks and stamps, right? I was immediately happy when I saw the fun, Number 2 pencil in the Everyday Thanks stamp set. I also love the bandage, the whistle, siren and the stethoscope, but the pencil caused my (excuse the pun) pupils to dilate. Here’s a card I mad with this wonderful stamp set:

Everyday Thanks, Stampin Up!, Brian King, thank you card

I really, really, really wanted to make a simple and fast card with this sweet set, but the snipping and layering took me more time than I had anticipated. If you don’t like to spend time crafting, don’t make this card – otherwise, enjoy! ♥ Here’s a look at the Everyday Thanks stamp set:

Everyday Thanks, Stampin Up! 161528I wanted a simple layout that would spotlight my pencil, so I searched my “archives” to find a card that inspired me. I based the layout on today’s card with this card from 2018 (you can click on the project to see my original post):

A Good Day, Delightful Daisy, Stampin' Up!, Brian King, FMS325The two panels of Designer Series behind my pencil are Crushed Curry pages from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper – I love them both, but they are amazing together. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper, a pack of 48 pages of 12″ x 12″ designs (there are SO MANY great pages in this pack of papers!):

Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 161640Stampin’ Up! kicked off a month-long Designer Series Paper Sale last week – nice! How sweet is the collage of images and sentiments at the heart of this card?

Everyday Thanks, Stampin Up!, Brian King, thank you cardThe mix of Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry and Basic Black on my card make me very happy. They are very “pencil-y” and also a great color combo.
