Feel Better Soon with Garden Walk Designer Series Paper

The first time I flipped through the designs in the Garden Walk 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, I immediately knew I’d be creating something special a particular page in the pack. All of the pages are wonderful, but there’s a Wild Wheat page with bright flowers and dark leaves that stands out to me. Here’s a get well soon card I made with this gorgeous piece of paper (and some more of my favorite things):

Wanted to Say Dies, Garden Walk Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingThe Wanted to Say Dies have easily been my favorite product in Stampin’ Up!’s 2023 Annual Catalog – I’ve showcased each of the sentiments in the set and have been happy with each. Here’s a look at the layering sentiments and fun images in the Wanted to Say Dies:

Wanted to Say Dies, Stampin Up! 161594There are two layers in the set of dies for each sentiment in the set – one creates a background base and one crops the thinner sentiment. With Adhesive Sheets behind the cardstock with the thinner die, these thin dies are really easy to add to the background piece. I cropped the background with Wild Wheat cardstock and the thinner sentiment with Mossy Meadow. Here’s a closer look at the sentiment on my card:

Wanted to Say Dies, Garden Walk Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingI pulled the colors for my sentiment straight from the Garden Walk page I showcased behind it – isn’t this a gorgeous page?! Here’s a look at all the colors and patterns in the Garden Walk 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, new in the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog:

Garden Walk Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 162227The colors and patterns on the Wild Wheat page have a retro feel I love so much! The shape that holds my sentiment also features a retro look. That happened by a happy circumstance, though. I was planning to showcase the sentiment on a Mossy Meadow panel, but it was too dark. I grabbed a scrap piece of paper I had sitting on my desk to see if it looked better against a lighter color. The shape of that scrap piece was similar to the one I created for my card – happy for that inspiration.

If you love this mix of Very Vanilla, Wild Wheat and Mossy Meadow as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

  4. Love your card today! Great idea to combine Wild Wheat and Mossy Meadow. They compliment each other quite well. Like the angular accent piece under your sentiment too.
