Many of my Stampin’ Up! team members (not only those with blogs) share their gorgeous projects in our team’s Facebook community – there’s such amazing and inspiring creativity in this group! I’m always excited when my team’s blog hop rolls around, though, because I get to share some of their amazing work with you. I’m just as excited to see their projects as you are, and I am proud to share them with you.
Welcome to InKing Royalty’s September Blog Hop! The leaves are changing, Halloween is around the corner, and we are playing with orange tones that are sure to get you in the mood for Fall. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Warmest Heart
I wasn’t sure what I’d make for today’s blog hop, so I just started playing. I stamped and cropped a gorgeous set of leaves, made a fun background with a popular punch and colored a handful of insulated bottles. I tried to work them all together but the bottles and background won out (you’ll soon see the leaves in another project). Here’s the Get Well Soon card I made with the Warmest Heart Bundle:
The insulated bottles on my card (which are filled with homemade chicken noodle soup) are stamped with an Early Espresso Classic Stampin’ Pad and colored with Pumpkin Pie and Copper Clay Stampin’ Blends. This is such a fun bundle for a Get Well card or the folks in your life who love the outdoors. Here’s a look at the Warmest Heart Bundle:
As I was waiting for a card design to materialize, I played. I punched a few scrap pieces of Pumpkin Pie, Copper Clay and Cajun Craze cardstock with my Best Label Punch to build the pattern I showcased on this card. So you know, I also punched Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Calypso Coral cardstock, but those colors were edited out of my design. Here’s a closer look at the meticulous pattern on my card:
And here’s a look at the Best Label Punch I used to crop the fun shapes I used to build the background panel (each punched image measures 3/4″ x 1/4″):
While there’s a lot of Early Espresso and Crumb Cake on my card, it’s the mix of Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Copper Clay that makes this card feel like Fall. If you like this mix of Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Copper Clay as much as I do, I hope you will save this for future reference:
To add a little texture to my card, I added a nest of Linen Thread behind the insulated bottles (again, they are filled with homemade chicken noodle soup) and added copper sequins around the images. These sequins are my go-to for so many projects – if you don’t have them, I hope you’ll reconsider that decision. 🙂 Here’s a look at the Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins:
Bundles: Warmest Heart Stamp Sets: Warmest Heart Papers: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Copper Clay, Thick Basic White Inks: Early Espresso, Stampin’ Blends (Pumpkin Pie, Copper Clay, Shaded Spruce) Accessories: Best Label Punch, Linen Thread, Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Awesome card and punching…lots of punching!
Brilliant background using that punch. You lined them up perfectly. Great use of many shades of orange. Enjoy your soup! Thank you for another great hop!
Your card is adorable and LOVE that little ticket punch background! You forgot the soup recipe…
Thanks for the reminder that backgrounds can be really cool. I have to admit, I hadn’t been using that little punch. I’m going to give it another look. Great card Brian!
Brian,
Your card is great … from the creative background to the adorable thermos/water bottle.
Bravo! Love your background. Love your card!
The background panel is so very clever using that punch. I love to see creative ideas using products I have in a way I would never think of. Thanks for your thinking-outside-the-box card today. Enjoy your day!
Wow Brian-you are so creative! I love this card!
