Lots of Love with Marvelous Nature

While I’m starting to dabble in Spring projects, I’m not ready to move along from Fall or Christmas projects – and I’m not yet ready to pack away my Christmas products. The card I’m sharing with you today features  a pair of birds, soft blues and a trio of shiny pearls. Perfect for Spring! The Designer Series Papers and pearls showcased on the card are pulled right from Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Catalog. What fun! Here’s the card I made to share with you today:

Marvelous Nature, Stampin Up!, Brian King

The stamp set, new in Stampin’ Up!’s 2024 Annual Catalog, is a real beauty. Marvelous Nature features the birds and sentiment on this card, along with another spotlight image and some other sentiments. Here’s a look at the Marvelous Nature stamp set:

Marvelous Nature, Stampin Up!, 161252I stamped the bird image with Balmy Blue ink on a panel of Thick Basic White and then cropped it with a Deckled Rectangles Die. I heat-embossed the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Pretty Peacock cardstock and then hand-snipped it with Paper Snips. Here’s a closer look:

The 4″ x 5-1/4″ background on my card is pulled from the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Mini Catalog. While the pattern in the Balmy Blue paper is a sweet representation of snow, the dotted pattern isn’t relegated to Winter.  Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper:

A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, 162377The diagonal stripe that runs across my card is formed with two strips of the sixth pattern on the top row of the image above. I wanted the pattern to repeat from the center of the thick band, so I cut two bands and then flipped one. Here’s a closer look:

While Balmy Blue is the biggest contributor to this card, Pretty Peacock also plays a big role (and looks great with the soft blue). The Old Olive stripe in the band that runs across the background stands out to me with the other colors. Together, they are a beautiful combination. If you like this mix of Pool Party, Pretty Peacock and Old Olive as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
