I love when a simple card says what needs to be said and is also beautiful. The recipient of this happy Christmas card might night not know how quickly the tree came together (it’s simply cropped from the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper), but they might also assume the background is simpler than it is. Here’s the card I’m happy to share with you today:
My card features a Christmas tree from from the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper that’s cropped with the largest die from the Merriest Tree Dies. The background panel on this card is built with 1-1/4″ strips of Garden Green trees from the same pack of papers and a Pretty Peacock pattern from the Garden Walk 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper:
Continuing the “walk” papers, here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Garden Walk 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper:
How gorgeous is the tree at the heart of this card?! I cropped it from the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper with the Merriest Tree Dies. I cropped a second tree with the same die a Basic White cardstock to give the Designer Series Paper tree a little more firmness so I could pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a Real Red “Happy Christmas” to bring a little brightness to the rich, dark colors on the rest of the card. The sentiment is from the Merry & Bright stamp set – I LOVE this stamp set (and have included a link to the set in the products list below. Here’s a closer look:
If you like this mix of Real Red, Pretty Peacock and Garden Green as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
