Sending Good Tidings from Mom

If you love deals and didn’t have a chance to check out the Clearance Rack refresh yesterday, there’s still time for some of the items added. All items are marked down (some are 60% off), and all are moving fast. Like the Last Chance Sale, when these items are gone, they are gone. While Mom was here for two weeks around Thanksgiving, we watched several movies, enjoyed delicious meals and visited Medieval Times for a fun night out. We also crafted a lot – Mom completed some card kits, Paper Pumpkin projects and a box of Christmas cards that are ready to be stuffed in envelopes. Mom likes a regal Christmas card (and I had two packs of the retired Shining Brightly Specialty Designer Series Paper), so I knew we could make something quickly with that. Mom really liked the look of the sentiments in the Joy to You stamp set, so these came together quickly. Here’s a look at Mom’s Christmas cards (three designs she completed with multiples of each):

I’m going to give you a closer look at each of the cards, but I’d like to share a little bit about the stamp set first!

I loved the Joy to You stamp set the moment I saw in Stampin’ Up!’s September – December 2023 Mini Catalog and have used it frequently. I love the bold fonts and beautiful sayings. Big designs like this really help us to create simple and beautiful cards. Here’s a look at the Joy to You stamp set:

Joy to You, Stampin Up!, 162090This stamp set is retiring at the end of the Mini Catalog period or when supplies sell out. If you’ve been eyeing this set (but haven’t dropped it into your shopping cart), now’s a good time to grab it up. Don’t wait until it’s gone. The three Night of Navy pages that form a backdrop for the sentiments on Mom’s card are pulled from the Shining Brightly Specialty Designer Series Paper that sold out weeks ago. It’s a great example of why you need to get these things now. 🙂

I talked Mom into “spreading the love” by creating her card with three card base colors – Basic Gray, Night of Navy and Wild Wheat. Here’s a closer look at each:

Mom had to sit with the Wild Wheat base for a while before she decided she liked it (I wasn’t sure it would work, but I had to try). When she was done with all of her cards, she was really in love with the Wild Wheat base. So happy we gave it a try!

While all three of these colors weren’t used on any of the three cards, a combination of each is showcased. If you love this regal mix of Wild Wheat, Basic Gray and Night of Navy as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

It absolutely touches my heart and spirit, the bond/love/and respect you share. Thank you for sharing this part of yourself with your subscribers. Encouraging indeed, in a world that needs to express more love than anger. Many Blessings to you and Mom for a wonderful 2024.
