Sending Thanks with Stippled Roses

With a little Wild Wheat ink, I stamped the bushel of roses from the Stippled Roses stamp set and cropped them with the coordinating dies. I knew which papers I wanted to use on my card, but I hadn’t decided how to showcase them and what colors to bring in, so I reached out to my InKing Royalty team members. Did I want to make a monochromatic card with just Wild Wheat? Should I add another color that would look great with my Wild Wheat flowers – Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso, Pool Party? The team had several suggestions (including make multiples), and I landed on this card:

The detailed flowers and leaves in the Stippled Roses stamp set are gorgeous. While I could add color with watercolor pencils, Stampin’ Blends and sponge daubers, I thought they looked great stamped and left alone. Here’s a look at the images and sentiments in this gorgeous bundle:

Stippled Roses Bundle, Stampin Up!, 162667I inked up the flowers with my juicy Wild Wheat ink pad, stamped them off lightly on scrap paper and then stamped them on a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock. The “stamp-off” might not be necessary with other ink pads, but that’s what worked for me on this one. The sentiment, also from the set, is heat-embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and cropped with the Double Oval Punch. Here’s a closer look:

How gorgeous are the Wild Wheat panels of Designer Series Paper that provide a backdrop for the flowers on my card?! I cut both panels at 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ and then cut one of the panels at a diagonal to showoff both pieces. So beautiful! There are so many pages in this pack of papers, which is available to select for free with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration, that I couldn’t miss! Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper:

They are stunning together! If you like this mix of Basic White, Wild Wheat and Mossy Meadow as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
