The fun card I designed to share with you today transformed into a Valentine’s Day card with a single heart. With or without the heart, I think you’ll agree this card rocks:
Let’s start with the two panels of black-and-white designs that create the focal panels on this card. Both are pulled from the first page of the Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper – the guitars are on one side, and the striped design are on the other side. Here’s a look at the incredible patterns in the Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper:
When I first saw this paper, I “ooh’d” and “aah’d” at the opportunities to add color to these pages – yet this is the second card I’ve shared with no ink added to the paper. Coming soon, I promise.
I cropped the guitars with the largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies, turning the die at an angle so the guitars were angled on the square. I framed it with a thin frame of Real Red cardstock and add a Pool Party Banner (also from the Stylish Shapes Dies) on the back. The banner was a wee bit too short for what I wanted, so I snipped the banner and glued it down with a small gap between the two pieces. Here’s a look at the back of this panel:
I’m certain you have a lot of “YOU” sentiments in your stamp sets (you enjoy a variety of sentiments), but I pulled mine from the Everyday Thanks stamp set. I stamped the sentiment on Pool Party cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and snipped it out with my Paper Snips. The second part of the sentiment (“ROCK”) is cropped with the Mini Alphabet Dies, new in Stampin’ Up!’s January-April 2024 Mini Catalog. I love these dies! Here’s a look:
With the additional of a tiny heart from the Bee Builder Punch, I turned this “you’re awesome” card into one that says, “you’re awesome, and I love you.” I added three Pool Party gems from the Opaque Faceted Gems, one of this year’s Sale-a-Bration offerings you can choose for free with a $50 order. Love these gems! Here’s a closer look at the sentiment at the heart of this card:
If you love the mix of Pool Party, Real Red and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
