Get Well Soon with Magnolia Mood

The large magnolia die-cut in the Magnolia Mood Bundle is a sight to be seen. With a simple pass through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I created a gorgeous focal image for my project. As soon as I learned the Magnolia Mood Bundle (which had been on backorder for a short moment) was back in stock, I couldn’t wait to showcase it! Here’s a card I made with the Magnolia Mood Bundle:

Because I’m nice, though, here’s a closer look at the magnificent magnolia at the heart of this set of dies:

Magnolia Mood, Stampin Up!, Brian KingIt’s gorgeous, isn’t it? I hardly feel OK taking credit for making something beautiful with it.

I added Lemon Lolly ink to a 3-1/2″ x 5″ piece of Thick Basic White cardstock with a Mini Blending Brush. Before assembling the card, I embossed the layer with the thatched design in the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. I love the subtle, detailed texture created by this folder. Here’s a look:

Yellow is a powerful color. Just a touch of yellow can brighten any project, and I particularly love it with grays. I’ve always felt that any sympathy card should have a touch of yellow for hope and light, but it works well on a get well card, too. If you love this mix of Lemon Lolly, Smoky Slate and Basic Gray as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Lemon Lolly, Smoky Slate, Basic GraySince I had a splash of Lemon Lolly behind my magnolia cut-out, I added three Lemon Lolly Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to my card. A perfect accent!

Stamps: Ringed with Nature  Papers: Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Thick Basic White  Inks: Lemon Lolly, Memento Tuxedo Black  Accessories: Magnolia Mood Dies, Basics 3D Embossing Folder (thatched), Mini Blending Brush, Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
