Miss You, Retiring In Colors

Every year, we are introduced to a collection of five colors that we live with for two years. We love some of the colors right out of the gate, and we grow to love some colors. As they leave, new colors come in – but we sometimes miss the colors that retire. I shared the 2024-2026 In Colors yesterday (if you missed that post, you can see it here). Today I am focusing on all five of the soon-to-retire 2022-2024 In Colors. Here’s a card I made to say “miss you” and to celebrate these retiring colors:

My is built with no ink and no stamps – just a great collection of dies, an embossing folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals and a boatload of cardstock layers. Here’s a look at the products I used to build this card:

• MISS – these letters are cropped with the Alphabet a la Mode Dies and Tahitian Tide cardstock. I added a thin frame of Tahitian tide around the sentiment panel to give the illusion that the letters could be cropped into the Starry Sky panel when they are actually added to it.
• You – this word is cropped with the Love You More Dies with Parakeet Party cardstock. I love the thin words in these dies and use them all the time! This one is my favorite.
• Hearts – the hearts are cropped from Sweet Sorbet cardstock with the Share a Milkshake Dies. I love these little, oblong hearts. So cute!
• Embossed Background – the Thick Basic White panel on my card is texture-embossed with Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
