Smile with Mediterranean Blooms

Over the weekend,I hosted a “this or that?” question that generated a lot of responses – and I couldn’t be happier. If you missed that post, you can see it here. It seems, to me, we are evenly split between punch-lovers and die-lovers. I thought it only fair to share my response with you – for standard shapes and frames, I would choose “punch” every time. In a different world, “punch or die” seems like a quite different discussion.

Today’s card is a happy, happy card with a punch at the center and bright, cheery citrus at the heart. Here’s my card:

Love this Moment, Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian King, smile

If you want to spread happiness, then “smile” is a perfect word to use. “Happy” is also a great word – and both are showcased in the Love this Moment photopolymer stamp set. Here’s a look at the great images and sentiments in this adorable set:

Love this Moment, Stampin Up!, Brian KingMy card combines two pieces of Designer Series Paper – the background panel is 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″, and the citrus panel is 3″ x 4-1/4″. Offsetting the two allows the pieces to work together so well. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper that features oranges and lemons one one side and gorgeous blues on the other – so very Mediterranean:

Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 163284I grabbed the polka dot pattern from the To Market Designer Series Paper, knowing the Pumpkin Pie dots would coordinate well with my oranges. I was right! The lighter version of Pumpkin Pie looks like Peach Pie, so I paired the panels with Peach Pie and Pumpkin Pie. Makes sense! Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the To Market Designer Series Paper:

To Market Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 163421I punched the sentiment with the Labeled with Love punch (but you could use the dies, if you have those.). 🙂 I centered it on the card front with a band of Pumpkin Pie behind it to make sure the happy sentiment pops. Doesn’t it seem like this sentiment was designed for this punch and for these papers?!
