Hooray with Take to the Sky

Mom has been visiting for a week-and-a-half – I drew her here with a Braves game and convinced her to hang out after. We had a really good time – and she left with a box full of cards she made during her visit. I’m happy to share three cards (one design) she made for some special family and friends. One of my nephews is soon completing pilot training, and another nephew who is soon completing school as an aviation mechanic. Mom wanted two cards for her grandsons and a third is for Mom’s friend’s grandson who is also completing pilot training. Here’s the card she made:

Mom knew she wanted to use the Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper to make these cards – and I was happy to help her design them and add the sentiment she wanted. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper:

We added in a 1-1/2″ strip of the Boho Blue 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper from the 2023-2025 In Color pack. We played with a couple of other ways to accent the 1″ strip across the card base, and this gave us what we wanted. Here’s a closer look at one of the cards:

The letters were easy to line up along with 1″ strip (and the grid lines didn’t help). Here’s a look at the must-have Mini Alphabet Dies:
