I’m a lucky, lucky guy. When I was scheduling my monthly call with my InKing Royalty team, I sent a quick message to Pam Morris, my upline, to see if she wanted to make a card with the group. A quick response and a quick turnaround – and I had an amazing demo for my group. Today I’m excited to share the card Pam made with the Changing Leaves Bundle for last night’s call:
The Changing Leaves Bundle is one of the new offerings in Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives (and one my favorites). Just when you thought you didn’t need another stamp bundle, this one features GORGEOUS images and INCREDIBLE sentiments – and dies and a hybrid embossing folder to boot! The large dies for three of the leaves fits right into the embossing folder so you can cut and emboss at the same time – brilliant! Here’s a look at this must-have bundle:
Here’s a fun photo of Pam and me during the early moments of our call:
During the second half of our team meeting, Pam made the card I showed above. Here are some shots I grabbed from the call:The focal panel on Pam’s card features the emboss resist stamping technique. Pam stamped the leaves on a sheet of Very Vanilla cardstock with Versamark and heat-embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder. With Small Blending Brushes, she applied Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso ink to the panel. The real magic happened when she wiped the ink off the embossed elements with a paper towel. She also walked us through all of the stamps, dies and embossing elements in the bundle and shared some other projects she made with the bundle. Such fun!
Here’s a closeup of the panel that features the emboss resist technique:
How beautiful is that?! She layered that panel with a little gold strip, added it to a Crumb Cake panel that was dry embossed with the coordinating embossing folder. She added some gold leaves (from the dies) and cropped the sentiment with a die (also from the set). So much beauty in one card! Wouldn’t you agree that I’m lucky to have great friends like Pam?
