Brian’s Week in Review: July 28, 2024

Brian's Week in ReviewAnd so ends another incredible week for the history books. While we’ve been crafting away in our craft rooms (or dining rooms or converted garages) and celebrating free shipping and peeks at new products (demos only, for now), the world has welcomed the Olympics. I pay close attention to sports every two years when the Olympics are on. That’s about it for me. There’s a lot of excitement around these Olympics, and I love the unity the games provide. I want to give a quick rundown of the week (for those who don’t follow me every day) and a little extra background (for those who already tune in every day).

Monday

I kicked off the week with the announcement that we’d all enjoy FREE SHIPPING on Tuesday. What fun! I didn’t want to JUST share the news, so I whipped up a card I’ve been dreaming about for a while…is there a better way to express excitement for FREE SHIPPING than a shopping cart full of Stampin’ Up! boxes?

Attention Shoppers Bundle, Stampin Up!, Brian KingIt might not be the most beautiful card ever made, but I really loved making this one – it all came together perfectly (and the Stampin’ Up! logos were easier to make than you might think). Attention Shoppers is such a great bundle!

Tuesday

Monday was all about announcing the excitement of the FREE SHIPPING day. On Tuesday, I shared some great suggestions for filling your shopping cart on the big day. I restocked on cardstock (a cardstock restock). What fun!

With some technical difficulties in the online store with the FREE SHIPPING promotion, some had a hard time placing orders. As a result, Stampin’ Up! offered to extend the promotion to Wednesday – woo hoo!

Wednesday

On Wednesday I created a sweet and simple card with the Submarine Life stamp set and coordinating punch. The yellow submarine (have you ever heard of such a thing?) wasn’t even the star of this sweet card – it was the sweet block of color strips.

Also on Wednesday, Stampin’ Up! demonstrators got a first look at the September-December 2024 Mini Catalog. It’s incredible! The holidays are going to be jam-packed with incredible craft projects. ♥

Thursday

After taking my first pass through the new catalog on Wednesday, I opened up my Winterly Tree Tops Bundle (new in the catalog but available to demonstrators earlier this year) and started playing. SO HAPPY with how this sweet card turned out.

Friday

Speaking of new products, I made thank you tags with the Greetings of the Season Dies, new in the Online Exclusives and available now. These tags don’t have a Christmas feel at all, which makes them so universal. Love the dies!

Saturday

After a busy week, I was excited to launch the Online Tutorial for the latest Super-Awesome Fun Time Card Kit. Emma and I chose the Filled with Fun Bundle and Filled with Cheer stamp set for this kit – and I couldn’t have loved it more. Without even trying, we designed projects that spanned all of the seasons. Such fun!

One More Thing…

Friday was a late night – I hosted a “catalog flip” with my InKing Royalty team as the Olympics were kicking off. I was concerned the timing wasn’t the best, but we had a great turnout and a fun time. Julie DiMatteo and Pam Morris joined me for the flip – always such fun.

InKing Royalty Catalog FlipI can’t share the video with you (the event was just for my team), but I can share these photos from the call. I think they show how much fun we have with the call.
