When Stampin’ Up! released the last round of Online Exclusives last month, we got our first taste of crafting products for the holidays. I have loved working with the papers in the Iconic Celebrations 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and the the Season of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper, both new in the Online Exclusives offering. I was excited to play with the Season of Gold and Green Specialty Paper to make this card to share with you:
My cared features two Very Vanilla and gold foil pages from the Season of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper – there are SO MANY gorgeous designs in this pack. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Season of Green and Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper:
I used a blending brush to add a coat of Blushing Bride to the already-beautiful design. To create an ombre effect on the 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ panel, I added additional pink (from the bottom) with Moody Mauve ink). Here’s a closer look at the effect of these pinks on the page and the incredible shine from the gold:
I added a strip of Very Vanilla and gold foil panel (no added ink) and then built a sentiment with the Alphabet a la Mode Dies and a gold-embossed sentiment from the Iconic Imagery stamp set. Love this combination! I added three Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems to accent the gold in the card. I framed to focal panel with Basic Gray, then Moody Mauve, then gold foil. I added a panel of the diamond-emblazoned page to the flap of a Very Vanilla envelope for a sophisticated, added effect.
The gold and Very Vanilla add so much to this card (they are, after all, the foundation for the card), but it’s the mix of pinks and grays I love so much. If you like this mix of Pretty in Pink, Moody Mauve and Basic Gray as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:

I’m a fan of a quick DSP technique that adds so much vavoom! Love the alphabet dies, too!
Thanks, Mary! This card came together over a couple of settings – happy with how the ink added so much to the already-gorgeous paper.
I love the beautiful card, Brian. The ombre effect is so pretty. Enjoy your day, my friend.
Thanks so much, Hilda! I love the mix of these pinks – and they work so well with the gold. Glad you like it! ♥
