Happy Halloween with Playful Ghosts

While Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Mini Catalog doesn’t include Halloween stamp sets or papers, there are some great options in the Online Exclusives (released last month) and the Scrapbooking Brochure (released on Wednesday). The project I’m sharing today combines a fun ghost from the Online Exclusives with a perfectly playful page from a pack of papers in the Scrapbooking Brochure. Such a fun combo! Here’s my card:

The Playful Ghosts stamp set wasn’t on my radar during the Online Exclusives (I somehow missed these adorable ghosts and fun sentiments). I added them in my second order, though, and I’m happy to have it. Here’s a look a the Playful Ghosts stamp set:

Playful Ghosts, Stampin Up! 164366I stamped my flying ghost on Basic White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored his accessories (hat, cape and broom) with a mix of Stampin’ Blends: Gray Granite, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake. I then cropped him out with my Paper Snips and smiled.

I mounted my ghost on a Stylish Shapes circle cropped from a Pumpkin Pie page of the Halloween Spells Designer Series Paper. I added three small clouds for effect – cropped with the Hot Air Balloon Dies from the Graceful Greenery Vellum. Such a fun accent, huh? Here’s a closer look:

The Pumpkin Pie circle, the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece on the base of my card and the striped background on the base panel are all pulled from the Halloween Spells Designer Series Paper. I LOVE each of the patterns in this pack of papers! Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Halloween Spells Designer Series Paper (you can click on the image below if you’d like to flip through the pages in my online store):

If you love the festive mix of Pumpkin Pie, Gorgeous Grape and Basic Black as much as I do, I hope you’ll save this for future reference:
