Brian’s Week in Review: September 15, 2024

Brian's Week in ReviewIt seems I start each of these Week in Review posts with “it’s been a busy week,” but this week has busier than others. 🙂 My stamping friend, Louise Sharp, arrived from Australia last week, and we’ve been burning the candle at both ends. We’ve been crafting and visiting all the sites in Atlanta. So much fun – and we’ve got so many more events planned for this weekend. Never-ending fun – that’s what it’s all about, right?

I want to give a quick rundown of the week (for those who don’t follow me every day) and a little extra background (for those who already tune in every day).

Monday

On Monday I shared a sweet card I made with the Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper, new in Stampin’ Up!’s Scrapbooking Brochure. I knew I needed to showcase the adorable animals in this paper and pulled from another card I made last year. Here’s my “Hello Autumn” card I made with three of the papers from this sweet pack:

Tuesday

On Tuesday, I shared the first pictures of my Designer Series Paper Swatch Books from the 2024 Holiday Mini Catalog (they weren’t assembled when I launched my product shares). Since these are considered “finished products,” I can sell them, which means you can purchase them (which would make me very happy). Here’s a photo of the completed books:

Wednesday

While Louise has been visiting, she’s been crafting (of course), and I have been thrilled to share some of her projects. On Wednesday, I shared the first project she beautifully water colored with a stamp set I purchased for her to play with while she was visiting. Here’s Louise’s Surfing Santa card:

Thursday

I shared more of Louise’s water coloring on Thursday – but this time I built the simple card around her water colored image. Louise used Misty Moonlight to color the top hat from Festive Words (and it couldn’t be more dapper). Here’s the finished card:

Festive Words, A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian KingHow sweet is that hat?! I knew I’d love it when I first saw it, but I didn’t know HOW MUCH I’d love it. To read more about this project, CLICK HERE.

Friday

While Louise and I have been all over Atlanta this week, I still made time to make some cards. On Friday, I was excited to pull together a card with the Caring Leaves stamp set, new in the 2024 Holiday Mini Catalog. I love this set, but I really loved working with all of the color duos. Here’s the card:

Saturday

With all of Louise’s water colored projects this week, you might not be surprised to hear I shared another project (my favorite of all of them) on Saturday. In yesterday’s post, I shared the Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus tags she helped me make to include with the product shares I sent out. Here’s the Santa Claus tag:

Coming Next Week

In the coming week, I have one more Louise Sharp project to share, along with some pics from our tour of Atlanta. I hope you’ll come back to see more about what we’ve been up to. ♥

Thanks for stopping by today!
