Thanks with Season of Elegance

The gold splattered patterns in the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper are sophisticated and fresh! While they are perfect for Christmas cards (who doesn’t want sophisticated and fresh for the Holidays?), many of the pages are also perfect for other occasions like weddings and birthdays…and Thanksgiving. I love this Pretty Peacock page and couldn’t help but to pair it with deep, rich tones to make a tailored and crisp card. Here’s the card I made to share with you today:

Mini Alphabet Dies, Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up!, Brian King, Fall thank you card

Let’s start with the over-the-top patterns in the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns (one side of each features gold foil accents, while the back side of each features a mix of monochromatic tones):

Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up! 164144I was all set to say “MANY THANKS” in two lines on the card front, but that covered to much of the gorgeous pattern on the paper, so I just went with “THANKS.” The Mini Alphabet Dies were a handy helper to build that sentiment for my card. Here’s a look at these all-occasion dies:

Mini Alphabet Dies, Stampin Up! 162934The dies are packaged with three individual dies (as shown below). I cut out the entire alphabet while making this card and stashed the leftovers in my die case for future use:

Mini Alphabet Dies, Stampin Up! 162934I positioned the die-cut letters on a 7/8″ strip of Very Vanilla cardstock, making it easy to line them up. I then framed that band with a 1″ strip of Gold Foil.

All that shine! There’s so much shine on this card, making it perfect for an elegant celebration. I framed the sentiment and already-shiny focal panel with Gold Foil Sheets and added gold gems from the Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems. Here’s a closer look:
