It’s time for another Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop – what fun! The Be Inspired Design Team is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world who are excited to share our themed projects with you. I’m so honored to be a part of this group of talented stampers!
For today’s Be Inspired Blog Hop, we are creating projects inspired by the Christmas characters – I haven’t seen the projects from the other participants, but I know you are in for a variety of fun characters – you’ll see snowmen and reindeer and maybe some penguins. My card features the main character (as characters go) of Christmas – Santa Claus. The Be Inspired Design Team and I are excited to share what we’ve made!
If you aren’t starting the hop here, then you might have popped over from the fun shaker card shared by Kayla Renee. I’m happy you are here.
Sunny & Bright
We aren’t all accustomed to seeing Santa Claus in his board shorts and sporty sunglasses – but that image is far more common in tropical towns where the holidays are warm and sunny. There’s no more recognizable character than Santa Claus, so I couldn’t help but to revisit this stamp set to make this card for today’s hop: I stamped the image of Santa, his surf board and presents with the Surfing Santa stamp set, new in this year’s Holiday Mini Catalog. The sentiment is also from the fun set. I colored the images with a mix of Stampin’ Blends and cut them out with my paper snips. Here’s a look at the super-fun Surfing Santa stamp set:
How fun is this groovy Santa?! I stacked the gifts on his surfboard and allowed him to distribute them with one hand (the other is holding a refreshing drink – I’m sure it’s blue Gatorade to stay hydrated). Here’s a closer look at the fun guy: I positioned the surfing Santa on a Balmy Blue panel of waves from the Otterly Adorable Designer Series Paper – perfect for this card, don’t you think?! This paper was introduced with a full suite of products earlier this month during the Online Exclusives launch. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Otterly Adorable Designer Series Paper: I added a palm tree from the Beach Day Dies to the side of the card. I cropped these images with Basic White cardstock and colored them with Shaded Spruce and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. So easy and such a fun accent – here’s a look at the Beach Day Dies:
I had loads of fun with this project and hope you like what I made! I hope you’ll continue the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop to see more projects by my talented friends – I know you’ll love them. The next stop is a winter wonderland by my super-talented friend, Emma Goddard. I know you’re going to love what she’s made! Click on the banner below to continue through the hop:
