A Reason to Celebrate for CTS282

I’m excited about today! CAS(E) This Sketch is launching one of my sketches for this week’s challenge. When we were asked to submit sketches for the team, I sketched some simple ideas in a notebook and texted pictures from my iPhone. It’s fun to see that sketch come to life – and I can’t wait to see what the other designers and participants this week come up with. Here’s my card:

CTS282Tips, Tricks and Reminders

  • A Reason to Celebrate. Painted Glass isn’t the first thing you think about when sitting down to make a Christmas card, but the “A Reason to Celebrate” sentiment is quite appropriate, don’t you think? The Old English Gothic calligraphy lent the level of sophistication I wanted for my card. Here’s a closer look at this sentiment that I cropped with a Layering Ovals Framelits Die:Painted Glass, Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, Brian KingWhile I only used the Painted Glass stamp set, the set also comes with a coordinating set of Framelits. • Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper. How gorgeous are the papers in the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper? Let me answer that for you – they are amazingly gorgeous. The Real Red panel on my card is from the Regals 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper, and the beautiful panel of holly and Real Red jingle bells on the top is from Under the Mistletoe. Here’s a look at the colors and patterns in the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper: Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Up!, 146921Good news! The Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, featured on this card, is one of ten packs of Designer Series Papers in Stampin’ Up!’s “Buy 3, Get 1 FREE” promotion in July. • Christmas Colors. The colors for this card are pulled right from the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series paper. Old Olive, Real Red and Early Espresso are a gorgeous combination of colors that share both the warmth and joy of the holiday. If you like this combination of colors as much as I do, please save this:Stampin' Up! Color Inspiration: Real Red, Old Olive, Early Espresso
