You know me. You know I like to look at a stamp image and turn it into something that it’s not, right? In the past, I have turned a flower into fireworks and Christmas ornaments into hot air baloons. It really helps me to use my stamps at all times of the year. If you liked those, then have I got a treat for you today? In this case, though, I’ve turned one stamp of Christmasy goodness into another. Can you guess which stamp I used to make this beautiful garland? I’ll let you take a look at the card and write down your answer before revealing it later in this post.
Simple as can be but oh, so beautiful! Because I asked you to write down your guess at which stamp set I used to make the garland, I trust that you did. Look at the piece of paper (or unfold it if you folded it up) and shout out your guess. Whoa! Not all at once.
Did you guess Lovely as a Tree? If so, then you were wrong. Did you guess Circle Circus? That’s wrong, too. Take another look at the garland and scroll down to see the answer.

I used Bold Snowflake, from one of Stampin’ Up!’s upcoming stamp sets and one of the single stamps currently offered by Stampin’ Up:
I’m not totally crazy about the snowflake itself, but I really love the leafy ends. I immediately wanted to make something pretty with that.
Stamp sets: Bold Snowflake (single), Delightful Dozen Papers: Garden Green, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White Inks: Garden Green, Riding Hood Red
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Brian
hmmm, I’m really liking that one – so simple but effective 😉
I did not recognize it at all! You stumped me, and I’m glad you found a terrific way to use this horrid snowflake! Although Mary’s Bold Snowflake card with this stamp the other day was fabulous. It takes a few different eyes! Love it!
Well, I guessed the leafy branch from the bird punch….. but the snowflake got me ! I remember what you did with Betsy`s Blossom and thought “I like the way he thinks “…. because I`m mulling over how to turn that PEACOCK into a turkey on these pre Thanksgiving days… I love the challange of finding other ways to use your stamp images and you do that so well….It`s a pretty and neat card …you can`t go wrong with that .
I did not guess it! I love how you see things in things! So cool. That snowflake made a beautiful garland border. What a fun morning read, this blog is the greatest Brian!
What a great use for that stamp! Just wanted to give a little shout out to your local Georgia Power & Light for getting us here in New Jersey back up and running. Their crews swarmed our area for the last week and we are very grateful for them!
Well, I’ve said it before and I will say it again…..you have gift for design, Brian. I love the way you see things that are simple and turn them around to make something great. How long did it take you to come up with this card? I bet not long at all and the end result is truly fabulous. Thank you for sharing your wonderful imagination with us every day!!
Thou art brilliant!! Fabulous non-conventional use of that stamp! I sense another CASE coming on…. –Terri
BEAUTIFUL! And, elegant. I love that it looks dimensional, peeking beyond the garland into the sentiment.
Totally rachet, dude! {sorry, teenager around the house ~ } I am really loving this, and did not guess it at all! That snowflake makes better wreaths than what it was intended for!
Brian – you are amazing!
I didn’t guess that one either, and I did buy this stamp. Now I know what ELSE I can do with it! Thanks Brian,…you are the best! Have a super day!
Brian, you say you are an accountant, but you must have also gone to some sort of design school at some point! And some sort of comedy school at some point! You have more “God Given Talent” than most of us and it’s such a blessing that you chose us creative ones to share yourself with on a daily basis! I’m excited everyday to see what new idea you have created! The one today is amazing! Love you.
I would have never guessed this in a million years. You are so clever and creative! I can’t wait until we begin our new feature next week! Woo hoo!
I can’t believe it! I guessed! I’m not too crazy about this stamp as a snowflake, either, but it does look sort of Nordic sweatery to me. I’ll be using it as leafy branches from now on! Thanks!
You got me as well! Didn’t even think of the snowflake! You are amazing Brian!
Beautiful card! I just knew it was not Lovely as a Tree, but never guessed a snowflake!!! I have to agree, not a pretty snowflake….but you made true magic!

okay, I’m going backwards through all the posts that I’ve missed – and I said out loud, to my cats, “That’s COOL!”
