My First Video Tutorial

Today is a big day here at stampwithbrian.com! Celebratory banners adorned the front of the building this morning, and Delores brought donuts and orange juice for everyone. FOR EVERYONE!!! To honor this special day, I’m taking everyone out for pizza at lunch, and I may let you leave a couple of hours early.

What’s the big news? I made a video! You heard me right. Since my first blog post, you’ve been asking for a video. You know how the world works. You meet the love of your life, and everyone wants to know when you are going to get married. You get married, and everyone wants to know when you are going to have a baby. You have a baby, and everyone wants to know when you are going to give your baby a little brother or sister. This goes on and on and on. Twelve children later, you are exhausted and decide to stop listening to all those people who keep talking in your ear. It’s the same in the stamping world. You start making some cards, and everyone wants to know when you are going to start a blog. You start a blog, and everyone wants to know when you will make a video. Please tell me what’s next so that I can prepare myself. 🙂

Without further ado, here’s my video tutorial:

Now that you’ve watched the video (and probably emailed all your friends and family to share the wealth of it all), I want to share some photos of the card, including a closeup of the “watercoloring-ish” effect on the flowers:

Thanks,

Brian

  1. Congratulations! Another milestone!! You did a wonderful job with your video, easy to hear and understand, explaining the watercoloring-ish…WOW you made it look so easy! You gave us all the information we need to make this lovely card. Including your tips. My Demonstrator ( my daughter) lives 7 hrs away, so I have a few online Demonstrators, I follow and have a folder for each of my favorites..you, a friend with a new home and wild life, another with pictures of her granddaughter at the ends of their blogs. Love my Crafty Stamping Friends! Thanks.

  4. I am always a day late and a dollar short..my Mom’s old expression. But, with Christmas, I missed a few days and woke up early this am, so I thought I would catch up. What a joyful surprise when I found your video. It was perfect…simple, direct and clear as crystal. I can’t wait to give the card and the techniques a try. You did an awesome job. I do agree that the perfect ending would be a big old smile/smirk from you at the end. You could always drop your head sideways toward the table since you are doing it alone. With your great sense of humor, I can’t wait for that addition! Thanks for all you do! Merry Christmas from Southern Maryland! Next year I will do the card exchange!!!
