BLOG CANDY! Free Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer

candy2Boy, oh, boy! Have I got a treat for you today?

I am not one of those people who celebrates my birthday for a month at a time. “OOOOOHHHH! Only 45 days until my birthday. I can’t wait…OOOOOOHHHH! It’s finally my birthday month..my birthday week…did you know it’s my birthday?!” Yes! We all know. Frankly, I find that behavior exhausting. By the time that person’s birthday gets here, everyone is THANKFUL it’s over. And then you hear, “OOOOOOHHHH! 364 days until my birthday.” Geez! Will it ever end?

All that to tell you I have a birthday next week. This is a big one (it has a zero in it), so everyone is asking what I want to do for my birthday! Here’s a list of what I want:

  • I want to have a delicious dinner at Annie’s Thai Restaurant (the best food…ever).
  • I want to get together to stamp with friends
  • I want everyone who reads this post to buy $25 of Stampin’ Up! product from my demo site.

Since the third bullet point AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN (I totally get it! – you either have a wonderful demonstrator to whom you are loyal, or you are a demonstrator yourself), I’ve decided that I am going to give YOU a gift for my birthday. Here’s a subtle hint at what I’m giving away: 20121209-191954.jpg

Does this photo capture “crazy eyes” well enough? I was attempting to capture the maniacal energy of a used car commercial. **If you film, edit or produce used car commercials, then please reread that last sentence, substituting “the maniacal energy of a used car commercial” with “the maniacal energy of a crazed clown”.** ***If you are a crazed clown who makes used car commercials, then I am so sorry to offend you. You are special.***

OK! OK! Let me get to it! Leave me a comment on this blog post (as many as you want – all week long) to let me know what your ABSOLUTE FAVORITE Stampin’ Up! product is. Is it a punch? Is it a tool? Is it a color? What can you NOT live without? My goal is to have 400 comments on this post (and that’s not a hint as to which birthday I will be celebrating). Won’t you help me make my birthday wish come true?

On Sunday morning, after I wake up and sing a couple of rounds of “Happy Birthday to Me!”, I will announce the winner of my very first Blog Candy Giveaway! The winner will receive a BRAND NEW Stampin’ Trimmer as a gift from me. Yipee! Doodle! Dee! (Sorry to all my followers in Canada, England and Japan, I can only ship to a U.S. address).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

And so begins the last countdown until my very special day…

🙂

Brian

  1. Just thought I’d check in to see how many more comments you’ve gotten since this morning! Any update on the count, Brian?
As long as I’m here, one of my new favorites are the new stamp pads – once you get used to using them 😉 they really make my stamping look GOOD!

  2. Love your blog, Brian! SU cardstock is a must.

  3. No, don’t want you to cry!…. I think the In Colors that Stampin Up introduces every two years are awesome!….

  4. Hi, Brian – love, love, love your blog. Wish we could have had lunch together when you were in Wisconsin! I am a big fan of the “new” Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I literally use it every time I make a card (and it is soooo handy for 3D projects and envies). And I’m very excited about the new accessories to go with it that will be in the Spring Catalog. Happy Birthday!

  5. Just stopping by this morning to show you a little more love so you can get to the 400 🙂

  6. Can’t wait to see what all is in the Spring Catalog!!

  7. All the Stampin Up products are GREAT! Happy Birthday, Brian!

  8. I’m really like the chevron embossing folder, but I hadn’t used it on a Christmas card. Seeing today’s post, I’m on my way to the craft room …

  9. Good morning – I’ve already commented but want to do my part to help you reach your 400 comments goal. Have a great day!

  10. Brian, I just saw the blog candy contest COUNT is up to 222. Hmmm … I’ve been commenting either via my phone or the iPad and hadn’t seen where the count was being displayed. I am actually on my laptop this morning … so much more to see! 🙂
Come on, everyone! Let’s help Brian reach his goal of 400 comments! He gives us so much everyday in his wonderfully creative blog, right? He devotes so much time to this … I am wondering how much he really sleeps? LOL! He certainly looks wide-awake in this picture!
My NEXT favorite SU! product is the satin-stitched ribbon that I used on 8 Christmas cards yesterday and the ribbon was FREE during a “special” SU! offered this year. I got mine in Midnight Muse and it is so soft and luxurious! (Can you tell how much I love it?)
Have a great few days before your birthday, Brian! You are just a year older than our oldest son, Chris, who was actually born in Atlanta!

    Hugs,
    Suzie

  11. I don’t need to be in the drawing but I will certainly help you get to 400! My favorite product besides stamps is probably DSP. I love SU’s trendy patterns and although I don’t use it much I hoard the livin’ love out of it.

  12. Hope you’re getting excited about your birthday! I also cannot live without circle punches!

  13. I read your blog EVERY day. Just love your cards, I want to CAS every one. Have a great Birthday. Couldn’t make a card without my punches.

  16. Some of my favorite things are the embossing folders. They can really make a difference on a card. Thanks for the chance to win the trimmer!!!

  17. Love reading your blog. My very favorite thing is the seam binding ribbon, It adds so much. I’m not a demonstrator, but I was able to get a sneak peek at the Spring catalog. There is some great stuff in there. Can’t wait!

  18. Happy Anticipation!
By far, my favorite tool is the Color Caddy – easy to carry many inkpads and refills from spot to spot, and nothing topples! Even if you don’t need to lug it around, it’s great sorage in small space – and unlike wooden cabinets, very easily washable!

  19. Happy Birthday Brian! 40th birthdays are the BEST! Mine was awesome, it was the day I found out my second child was on the way and now he is driving! Hope yours is just as magical. My favorite SU product is You! Yours cards are stunning, your blog is inspiring, your wit and humor bring a smile to my face everyday. Thank you for these gifts. If I have to pick a SU product it would be my real red ink pad. A favorite color. Happy Birthday!

  20. It has been so much fun to read these comments! What a fun way to get people to interact on your blog:) Another fav of mine is the new stamp pads. I did a comparison of the old black ink pad and the new black on for my club ladies and they were amazed at the difference!

  21. I really like spraying the diluted inks and coming up with new backgrounds…always working on colour theory…am unable to leave the ‘u’ in Canada 🙂 even when I spend months in your most hospitable country.

  22. I just remembered I have another favorite swampy product, I mean stampy product. DSP! I hoard it more than I use it, unfortunately, but I do love it so.

  23. I hope you reach 400!

  39. O.K. Ummmm…….let’s see. I love colors so this time around I would have to say the Designer Series Paper’s and all the inks. Have a great Birthday.

  40. Love your blog! Hope you hit 400

  41. Ah, Friday and I need to help you get to 400, Brian!!! I guess today another of my favorite SU! products would be the paper snips! I guard them very carefully so I don’t use them for anything but “fussy cutting”. Otherwise, I might be cutting a dimensional with them! Have a great Friday!

  42. I don’t need the trimmer, but I want you to reach your 400! Let’s see, what can I say? I guess if I had to pick a Stampin’ Up! item that I could NOT do without, that would be my multi-purpose glue in the green bottle. Love that stuff! 🙂

  43. Yes, I’d LOVE to have that trimmer! I love the SU catalogs. I keep all of mine.

  44. Another great SU product are the beautiful Rhinestones. Right now they are on clearance at an incredible price so, I just got me some. Thank you for the chance to win the paper trimmer.

  45. I read your blog every day (I just didn’t realize that we could wish you HB more than once!)
So here it is – love the SU Designer Series paper!

    Happy Birthday

  46. Happy Birthday to you!!
One thing that I can’t live without is the Stampin’Scrub and Stampin’ Mist stamp cleaner. Can’t be creative with dirty stamps!

  47. Happy Birthday, Brian. Yes, I want the paper trimmer too! But it is so hard to pick one thing I love the most. That must mean I need to leave more comments! So, for this hour, I think my top choice is the blender pens. I love those things.

  48. I am back for my next hourly comment. Hmm. For this comment, I will say that I love the Stampin’ Dimensionals. It is hard to complete a project without them, at least as far as I am concerned!

  49. Happy Birthday Brian!! I also like all the dies. Thanks for the chance to win!!
