Boy, oh, boy! Have I got a treat for you today?
I am not one of those people who celebrates my birthday for a month at a time. “OOOOOHHHH! Only 45 days until my birthday. I can’t wait…OOOOOOHHHH! It’s finally my birthday month..my birthday week…did you know it’s my birthday?!” Yes! We all know. Frankly, I find that behavior exhausting. By the time that person’s birthday gets here, everyone is THANKFUL it’s over. And then you hear, “OOOOOOHHHH! 364 days until my birthday.” Geez! Will it ever end?
All that to tell you I have a birthday next week. This is a big one (it has a zero in it), so everyone is asking what I want to do for my birthday! Here’s a list of what I want:
- I want to have a delicious dinner at Annie’s Thai Restaurant (the best food…ever).
- I want to get together to stamp with friends
- I want everyone who reads this post to buy $25 of Stampin’ Up! product from my demo site.
Since the third bullet point AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN (I totally get it! – you either have a wonderful demonstrator to whom you are loyal, or you are a demonstrator yourself), I’ve decided that I am going to give YOU a gift for my birthday. Here’s a subtle hint at what I’m giving away:

Hi, Brian – love, love, love your blog. Wish we could have had lunch together when you were in Wisconsin! I am a big fan of the “new” Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I literally use it every time I make a card (and it is soooo handy for 3D projects and envies). And I’m very excited about the new accessories to go with it that will be in the Spring Catalog. My NEXT favorite SU! product is the satin-stitched ribbon that I used on 8 Christmas cards yesterday and the ribbon was FREE during a “special” SU! offered this year. I got mine in Midnight Muse and it is so soft and luxurious! (Can you tell how much I love it?)

Love reading your blog. My very favorite thing is the seam binding ribbon, It adds so much. I’m not a demonstrator, but I was able to get a sneak peek at the Spring catalog. There is some great stuff in there. Can’t wait!

By far, my favorite tool is the Color Caddy – easy to carry many inkpads and refills from spot to spot, and nothing topples! Even if you don’t need to lug it around, it’s great sorage in small space – and unlike wooden cabinets, very easily washable!
Happy Birthday Brian! 40th birthdays are the BEST! Mine was awesome, it was the day I found out my second child was on the way and now he is driving! Hope yours is just as magical. It has been so much fun to read these comments! What a fun way to get people to interact on your blog:) Another fav of mine is the new stamp pads. I did a comparison of the old black ink pad and the new black on for my club ladies and they were amazed at the difference!
I really like spraying the diluted inks and coming up with new backgrounds…always working on colour theory…am unable to leave the ‘u’ in Canada 🙂 even when I spend months in your most hospitable country.
I just remembered I have another favorite swampy product, I mean stampy product. DSP! I hoard it more than I use it, unfortunately, but I do love it so.

Ah, Friday and I need to help you get to 400, Brian!!! I guess today another of my favorite SU! products would be the paper snips! I guard them very carefully so I don’t use them for anything but “fussy cutting”. Otherwise, I might be cutting a dimensional with them! Have a great Friday!
