Over the past several weeks, I have been the luckiest guy in the world. Day after day, I received beautiful gifts in my mailbox – each little gift more wonderful than the last. Your participation in the Spring One-for-One Swap was amazing, and I appreciate it more than you know. What’s better? I was able to share the joy of these cards by sending them back out to you. What’s even better? I am able to share these cards with an even larger audience here. Starting today.
The cards I received arrived from all over the country – from the East coast to the West. I even received two cards from England and one from Australia. The cards have been mailed back out, and several have already been received. Here’s your view of the first batch of cards. I know you are going to love these!
Please leave a comment below to let the creators of these cards know how much you love their little pieces of art.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Brian
Oh Brian you are a tease-what’s under Sonny’s sticky note??? What a lovely colourful display of cards! I particularly like the simplicity of Diane’s card (and choice of colours), Kim’s use of Everything Eleanor and Chicky Vicki’s bright and cheerful Easter card! Thanks everyone for lots of inspiration.
Tee hee. For those who don’t know why there’s a sticky note on Sonny’s card, check out this post from the Valentine’s Day swap: https://stampwithbrian.com/2013/02/14/valentines-day-one-for-one-swap-day-3/ I made an honest mistake with a beautiful card from Sharon Jones (I couldn’t figure out why she had a paper towel on the front of her card but posted it anyway). 🙂 No worries, I’ll include Sonny’s full card in a later post. Happy Monday!
I love these card swaps – and am so glad to be a part of it this time. Thanks for texting me about it this morning Loz – I didn’t see the blog yesterday as I was off sick. What a lovely selection there are! Definately going to be some ‘casing’ going on here 😉
I hope Sonny appreciates the joke. What beautiful cards I especially liked Ellen’s sponging and Traci’s weaving. Thanks for organizing this and sharing. How about a summer share with Father’s Day and Independence Day?
Unbelievable! See this is why I don’t participate. You people are so talented!
I love all those cards , vary pretty , thanks for sharing Brian !!!
show stoppers…..how pretty….great job everyone!!!
OMG!!!!! My two cards are here!!!!! The first one is the one from Vicki Hipwell, all the way from England!! Like I said yesterday, I absolutely love the way she built that little nest, under the little eggs, there is some twine that looks just like what you’d find in a real nest and the little Chickie perched on that branch is simply adorable. Thank you Vicki for this beautiful Easter card.
My second card (that by the way was delivered to my daughter’s house next door, sheeesh!!) is from Kim Corrigan and I love it. You snipped those flowers to perfection adding so much dimension to the image. The colors are fabulous together and I love the framelits pierced that way. This card just game me the little push I needed to go ahead and get this pack. When you see the card in person you can really appreciate the beautiful piercing. Thank you Vicki and Kim for my cards and thank you Brian for sharing the rest of this little works of art. I really wish I could see Sonny’s card, I bet it’s beautiful. Good joke, Mr. Brian.
Wow – Thanks Maria! I only just found this today as I was off sick yesterday and didn’t go near my computer. I am so chuffed to see my card up there and your kind comments about it. I am so glad you spotted the twine as I had wondered if it was worth doing at the time, now I know it was 🙂 Thanks again. I can’t wait to receive my card in the swap. What fun it all is 😀
Maria…many thanks for your kind words. So glad you enjoy the card. 🙂
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Thank you, Brian, once again, for sharing the swap cards!
And thank you, dear swappers, for sharing your talent! 🙂
Brian, these cards are gorgeous! So disappointed that I didn’t participate this time and get to receive one of these 🙁 Thanks so much for sharing the cards on your blog…each one has something (or more!) to enjoy and CASE – thanks!
Amy, Brian will have more swaps, so no worries. You can catch the next one, it’s so much fun.
Everyone of these cards are works of art . The card I received from Barbara is there also . Isn`t it just lovely ? But ! The show stopper is mine ! Just look how I added lavender into the mix for a pop of color ! If any of you would like the technique of attaching sticky notes just let me know . I am always looking for people to swap cards with …just look people at what delights you might get from me . I even send you a sticky note !
Oh my dear friend, you and Brian have me in stitches this morning. And, as my swap buddy, please, PLEASE show me this technique, the pop of color looks indeed stunning, the way you placed it, so perfectly in the middle, how can it be more fabulous?
Love you lots, buddy.
What a beautiful collection of cards. I will be doing a lot of “case”ing! I regret I didn’t make it to participate in this round so I could have received one of those beauties! Can’t wait to see Sonny’s card unveiled! Brian, you are too much!
All beautiful cards. I received Ellen’s other card. Wait till you see it. It’s as lovely as this one too. Thank you Mr. Host Brian.
Oh My! Another great swap! Was there any doubt? Such lovely cards in round one. Hope Mr. Postman delivers one for me today. Side note: Thank you very much for all the birthday wishes on Saturday. I had a very nice weekend getaway with my hubby.
Everyone of these is terrific and I’ll be “case”ing! Thanks for sharing everyone.
LOL! and I mean it, I laughed out loud when I saw Sonny’s card! Then I patiently scrolled down looking at the lovely cards thinking, “Brian’s got to show us that card today”, but NO! — you are so funny!! Making us wait!! So I went back and scrolled through again, enjoying the cards. They are so beautiful! I received Traci’s and it is wonderful in person. I appreciate all the work that went into it! Thanks, Brian, for organizing another fun swap.
Fabulous cards here people! Being a quilter I especially loved Traci Davis’ card. Reminds me of a quilt I made for one of my great nieces when she was born!
Beautiful cards!!! Can’t wait to see what’s under that sticky note 🙂
Hilarious! 🙂
So many beautiful works of art Brian. Maybe some day I’ll participate in your swap. Do you also place a card in the swap? You are such a tease with Sonny’s card. I bet it’s beautiful under that sticky note! Guess we’ll all wait until tomorrow for the reveal!
Absolutely beautiful cards, and little mystery. What’s under the post it note? What great coffee reading and smiling! thanks to all who particated….everyone is a piece of art.
This is the reason why I leave your blog as the last to read. I know there is gonna be something to either smile or laugh about. Can’t wait to see Sonny’s card. I love Ellen’s card (would love to know and try that technique). What stamp did Kim use for her card? Also the stamp for Vicki’ s bird? Looking forward to the day when I can participate in one of these swaps.
Suzette, Kim’s card features Everything Eleanor (#124162W, #124164C) – a gorgeous set that was new with last year’s catalogue. Vicki’s bird appears to be a cutout from Birds of a Feather Designer Series Paper (#126899). Would love for you to participate in one of the swaps. It’s all in the name of fun.
Yes you are right Brian – I cut out one of the birds from the DSP and then I added crystal effect 😉 Love that paper
I’m the lucky one who got Sonny’s card.
Really beautiful with a fun new technique
as well. Hope you all get to see it.
Thank you for all the nice comments on
my card. This is my first time, but hopefully not my last.
Beautiful! I will participate in the next swap! Thanks for sharing.
These are all so lovely, and I’m holding my breath as I wait for my swap to wing its way across the pond to me!
I too will be casing many of these: so many ideas!
Lucky you indeed…these are all so pretty!
They are all so beautiful! Sonny should have been expecting that.
ABsolutely phenomenal cards, you guys! Brian, I will chain myself to my crafting desk next time you do a swap so that I can join in, too! After getting to see the talent here up close and personal, it IS very daunting to try to come up with something worthy of this talented group–but I’ll give it a whirl! –Terri O
And here I made a notecard to go with my swap, instead of the tried and true method of the post-it note! These swaps are so nice and beautiful! I can only hope to improve! (And perhaps, a few less exclamation marks. 😉 )
I know what you mean Faelix but it is totally impossible to type a sentence without at least one exclamation mark at the end!!! See what I mean?! Everything about this blog NEEDS exclamation!
Ps I’ve been studying so had no time to participate in this card swap – feeling really left out
