I havesome amazing friends. I’ve worked really hard all year – and have enjoyed every minute of it. While my mind races with new ideas and fun projects, my hands and feet are stuggling to keep up. 🙂 When I started meeting certain sales and recruiting goals a couple of months ago, I received some very special cards from some very special friends. I want to share a couple of those with you today.
Nicole Watt
I first met Nicole at an InkBig training in Wisconsin, where we both shared our first plate of cheese curds with one another – I might have eaten a few more than Nicole, but I remember we both enjoyed them. Nicole is the queen of MDS (My Digital Studio) – she really makes some fabulous (or, in this case, fatabulous) creations with Stampin’ Up!’s digital program. Nicole made this hybrid card with a digital print, some markers and a little Crystal Effects:
Dawn Tidd
Dawn is a Stampin’ Up! manager in Simpsonville, South Carolina. She’s just a two-hour road trip from me in Atlanta – and less than 5 minutes from my brother in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. I met Dawn and several of her team members at the Stampin’ Up! Regionals event in Chatanooga, Tennessee last fall. She is as sweet as can be. She CASE’d this card from last year’s Annual Catalog. I don’t care where she got it – it’s gorgeous:
Georgina Haynes
Georgina is a customer, a club member and a friend. She didn’t technically send this card as a congratulations, but it came in the mail around the same time as some of the others, so I accept it as a congratulations card. 🙂 I don’t know if this is her original design, but I love, love, love it.
Ann Schach
Ann is a Stampin’ Up! manager from West Burlington, Iowa. Ann and I met at the Wisconsin retreat, and have been inseparable (except for the miles between us) since. I have the pleasure of chatting with Ann almost daily — and sometimes multiple times a day. We chat about card concepts, business ideas, design challenges, dog shows, Bandit and Atlanta traffic. Ann is possibly the most talented stamper I know and deserves every kudo she ever receives. Ann creatively altered Feel Goods a bit (using a marker to NOT add the “s”‘s) to make this card for me. Couldn’t love it more:
Maxine Conrad
What can I say about Max? Our “love affair” began at Leadership this past January. I walked her back to her hotel one night because her roommates took the rental car to do some sightseeing – it was dark and hot out, and I wouldn’t let her walk back alone. “The hotel is just around the corner,” Max exclaimed in her gorgeous British accent. I’m sure she just didn’t want to bother me, but I’d swear that room was 17 miles away. I enjoy every moment I get to spend with Max. Max made this awesome card in MDS:
Mary Fish
I cannot say enough about Mary Fish. Let’s be honest – you probably found my blog through Mary’s blog. Mary has changed to face of the stamping experience for so many people. She has also created an amazing team of demonstrators that are so supportive and wonderful. I immediately loved this card when it arrived in my mailbox – partly because it’s absolutely stunning in its clean-and-simple design and party because it came from Mary.
Every card I receive means so much to me. These cards are extra special to me because of who made them for me.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Brian

Nancy =)
You are very talented, Brian…I’m not denying that 🙂 but I think it’s your attitude and warmth that keeps everyone coming back for more…and of course, your cards never disappoint! Thanks for starting the day and weekend with an appreciative note!
Can you give me Mary Fish’ blog info? Thank you, Becky Scogin
Becky, It sounds like you didn’t find me through Mary’s blog. 🙂 Her blog is http://www.stampinpretty.com. She’s pretty amazing.
What amazing cards! Walking through Brian’s house is like walking through a museum. There are little 5.5×4.25 works of art on every shelf, table, mantle, ledge…etc. He proudly displays all the beautiful cards you all send him.
What a fantabulous collection of cards! Your blog followers considered you a “star” long before Stampin Up! made it official.
I have a question about Georgina’s card. What is in the center of the black buttons? Is it very large pearls colored with black ink?
Thanks, Katie. She uses rhinestones as the buttons. I think she added some black marker over them to mute them a bit. Either way, rhinestones are nearly impossible to photograph – never as beautiful as in-person.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful cards. I especially like how Ann altered the sentiment. SU is clearly where you were meant to be, and I am soooo glad I found your blog! I think I came from Mary’s blog also.
Oh my word! These are all fantastic! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how Ann altered the sentiment to personalize it just for you! BRILLIANT!
I did end up here from Mary Fish (in a round about sort of way!) I happened to be in awe over a STUNNING creation that Maria Rodriguez had created that Mary had shown on her blog. I contacted Mary to ask her more about Maria’s card. Well. Mary contacted me and asked if she could forward my email to Maria. So…Maria contacted me directly! (Confused yet?) In the process of communicating back and forth Maria and I have become friends and she encouraged me to check out “This really talented SU! Demo from Atlanta, HIS blog is AMAZING and HE hosts these really fun card swaps a few times a year that are so much fun to participate in!” Seriously, those were Maria’s words exactly! So here I am
Have a Blessed weekend!
Valerie
I did not find you through Mary’s blog…hehehe! I guess I’ll have to check her blog out! I am a frequent visitor to Ann’s blog, though, so maybe from her blog, possibly. Anyways, thank you so much for sharing all these wonderful cards! You blog is always so fun and informative…thank you!
Oh Brian. Congratulations on your wonderful success. I can’t remember if I found you through Mary’s blog or elsewhere. But I’m so glad I did. I so look forward to reading your message to us each day. You are a wonderfully talented young man!
WOW! I think SU made the whole set of Feel Goods stamps in your honor (Thanks Ann for showing us how to “fix” their little mistake. LOL) Any one of those sentiments seem to fit your personality. Your blog is such a joy to read each and every day! I love the way SU demonstrators share their talent with each other. When I started stampin 6 months ago, my friend Susan told me I HAD to check out your blog. Such good advice!! So happy for your success!
Well, not much to add here, Brian! Among the many other talents you share, I love your sense of humor! Of course these demos adore you…so many more of us do as well… Thank you for all that you share…and like many others, so look forward to your blog updates every day!
BEAUITIFUL cards !!! love them all !
You are the best Brian! I read your blog every single day! Your talent amazes me and your sense of humor makes me laugh every day. I could feel how excited you were about Pam’s swap house card and now I am excited about it too! You continue to inspire me and always make me smile! 🙂
“One must be a friend to have a friend.” It’s wonderful to see the many friendships you’ve been blessed with through your stamping and blogging.
thanks,bk,you are the amazing one! wishing you all the blessings and kudos of success.
Wow, great collection of cards! found you through the wonderful Jennifer Lane, who I am lucky enough to be visiting this weekend in her new Santa Cruz home. Woooohoo! Fun times with a wonderful friend ahead!
