Water Coloring Made Easy – and a Video Tutorial

When Leigh (my wonderful friend and realtor) asked me to host a workshop to introduce Stampin’ Up! to her crafty neighbors, I jumped at the opportunity.  It’s really easy to design cards for my monthly club members because I know their skills (what a talented bunch!) – they’ve been stamping for years.  With a new group of unknowns, though, it’s difficult to plan a project – I don’t want to offend the seasoned vets with a simple project, and I have to assume some are total newbies.

Here’s one of the cards I shared in Leigh’s workshop:

  1. How much fun is this ? What a great idea …to off set the image so you don`t have to be concerned about centering ! And I like that you gave a little swish of color for the water in the vases instead of filling in the whole vase …. You think of everything ! Plus you get so much information in a short video …. Yay for you ! And yay for me too because I learned something to try this afternoon !!!

  2. What a lovely and easy card for your newbie stampers, who wouldn’t fall in love with this hobby, specially when they had the best teacher in town? Using the blender pens for this project was a fantastic idea, you get the same water color effect but in a much more easy and relaxed way, I bet all of the attendees had an absolute fabulous time.

  3. Another video, woo hoo! Keep them coming. This just is a fun and flirty imagine. It’s great that one can get the water color effect without being an expert, like me.
