This is my second post today – I wanted to stop in to fill you in on my Crafty Consignment Sale AND tell you a bit about where I’ll be tomorrow. Yippee! If you missed my first post today, make sure you check it out here.
Brian’s Crafty Consignment Garage Sale
My Facebook Event and Craigslist Ads were posted last week, and the little, yellow Garage Sale signs were planted at the end of the street Thursday night. I had never hosted an event like this before, so I really didn’t know what to expect. By all accounts, it was a huge success! Between 9:00 and noon today, more than 60 people walked through the house with grocery bags in hand. Most of them knew why they were here and flipped through every available stamp set – one by one. Others weren’t really looking for craft supplies and tried to buy the books and decorations off the shelves in my living room.
There were lots of familiar faces – and lots of new faces. I loved meeting them all and enjoyed helping them find their new treasures.
The three hours went by fast – and I had amazing helpers here to ring people up, collect their cold, hard cash and help them carry their many bags to their car]. I can’t believe how smoothly everything went – and some people now have a very large credit to spend with me. 🙂
Oh! And I put out a can at the checkout to raise money for my Mustache fund (I’m growing a mustache all month to raise money and awareness of men’s health issues) – I gathered quite a few donations, so I’m pretty happy about that. If you’d like to make a donation click on the icon below to donate on my Movember page (a $25 donation gets you a handmade thank you from me):
McGinnis Reserve Holiday Bazaar
Tomorrow afternoon, I’ll be setting up a table at the McGinnis Reserve Holiday Bazaar in Suwanee, Georgia. It’s a neighborhood event that features several crafters and home party business owners. I’ll be stationed with some projects to hopefully find some new customers. If you are in the Suwanee area, please stop by!

Hi Brian:
So glad your sale was a success. I know how much work goes into having one of those sales. Hopefully you’ll post whatever didn’t sell so that those of us who are not fortunate enough to live in your area can have a chance to pick up a few bargains too. Sounds like an extraordinarily busy weekend to me. Hope you do well tomorrow!
